The virtual cards - they offer timely control of spending limit provides great ease for our expense management. The Bento platform tracks our expenses and basiclaly does the accounting job for us. It is very convenient to provide cards to employees and also keep track of their usage. It also let me choose the categories for my employees to use the card and I can also restrict where they cannot use the card so which is very good on my part to control the usage of the card and the money used. As an Accounting Manager for a startup company, I like the ability to quickly change controls on cards as needed (one-time increases. turning on/off the ability to process foreign transactions, etc.) I find it also beneficial to account for one pooled fund vs paying and accounting for multiple different credit cards. The ability to get reports by cardholder is easy so you still have visibility at the individual level as well as a consolidated picture.

The QBO interface is pretty good but could be improved by additionally integrating the vendor names and recalling the g/l account assignment (as QB does) for repeat vendors/transactions. We have all found the system to be very intuitive making it easy for the cardholders to upload their receipts for each transaction which uploads the receipt as an attachment in QBO when it is synced. (A huge positive!)

The customer service has also been great. We ran into a small issue at the setup but the Bento Team was eager to jump in and rectify the problem.

I like that my employees have the freedom to use the cards at any gas station and any business that they need to use it at. I like the controls that I can put in place especially for new employees who haven't had a proven track record with yet. Ease of reloads without service fees is key. Bento has a lot of options to customize and limit employees' use by category, amount, international/domestic spending, etc. The Bento transfer feature usually loads funds pretty quickly in 1-2 business days, if you've made the cut off. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I find that the search function is moderately defunct, often not revealing transactions when you search by amount. It errors out a bit, as well, and you have to reset your search parameters. I also find that the bulk export feature leaves a lot to be desired. These deficiencies have made our travel expense reporting much more difficult and we've recently had to move our receipt attachment and tagging for traveling OFF of bento so that we could more accurately and efficiently track travel expenses vs. other spending.
