Over, my experience with Azure Monitor is pretty great. The Azure monitor is a built-in tool to monitor all the resources present in azure. Azure Monitor uses the Logs Workspace to store and represent in the Graphs or call it metrics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No, we haven't faced any challenges with Azure Monitor. I would recommend MS to Enable the exporting of the report in PDF format. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best part of Microsoft Azure Monitor is how easily and quickly we can set up an alarm (alert rules) to monitor our cloud resources. It is as easy as selecting the resource you want to monitor, then choose the metrics with a couple of clicks, then decide how you want to be notified (via email/text message, etc.), and voila, you are ready to go. The user interface is very user-friendly and convenient to use. It also shows the estimated cost of each alert you set up on the same page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some options like setting up Action Groups for alarms and setting up Data Collection Rules are a bit tricky and could have been made easier to understand for new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When I was logging data before Azure Log Analytics I was using logging to file and in case of any problems in the production environment, I had to go to the server, download the log files, and then view the file in a notepad (because it was a big text file). That changed with Azure Log Analytics. I uploaded all the logs (bugs, warnings, trace information), and when I need that I just queried it using Application Insights. A search engine to query all the logs, not scroll down and read, but actually query it giving me a log database. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Logs are inserted into Application Insights with a small delay. So if you want to debug an application and look at the logs on a second-by-second refresh, you might actually see that some logs are not coming. If there is something to dislike inside Azure solutions then it would be rather the less accessible Azure Portal user interface, more than Azure functionalities. Price. Though it is safe to say it's worth the price, yet it isn't every firm's cup of tea due to pricing alone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
