Astronaut is an effective and easy tool to utilise in your recruitment process, which leads to being able to focus your time on meeting with or interviewing candidates that most closely match your company's values and what the role requires. Rather than screening via a phone call, which can sometimes be hard to pin someone down to speak to you, they can answer your questions at a time that suits them. They give you insight into the key questions you need to know more about in order to be able to select the candidates for an interview (very helpful when you have a large shortlist or a number of candidates that look excellent on paper). Sometimes technical glitches when uploading or recording the welcome video. Sometimes candidates have issues accessing Astronaut, depending on the device they're using. But we now know all the tricks, we're armed for troubleshooting most issues as the Astronaut Team operates when we're asleep in New Zealand, so help is not always available when you need it.
