What do you like best about TestGorilla?

TestGorilla is an excellent platform for streamlining the hiring process! The site is incredibly intuitive and easy to use, making it simple to set up assessments and send links to participants. The wide variety of tests available allows for a comprehensive evaluation of both soft and hard skills, ensuring that candidates are properly assessed for the role.

The scoring system is accurate and insightful, saving me a ton of time in ranking candidates. Most importantly, it gave me confidence that I was only speaking to truly qualified individuals during interviews. What do you dislike about TestGorilla?

The only thing I would like to see improved is the pricing structure. Most testing platforms charge on a monthly basis, but for a small startup that only hires for replacements every few months, this can get expensive per hire. What do you like best about TestGorilla?

Realmente me gusta la variedad de test que tienen para diferentes puestos.

Parece que hay cientos de puestos disponibles y me encanta que se seleccionan en automático. También me gusta que es fácil y gratis copiar el link para implementarlo con los candidatos. Lo he usado mucho últimamente en los últimos meses y me ha gustado su versión gratuita. También sé que es fácil de integrar a otras plataformas y eso lo veo como un punto a favor. What do you dislike about TestGorilla?

Algo que podrían mejorar es que la IA seleccione de mejor manera los test para cada puesto. También, que haya tests más específicos, ejemplo, el otro día buscaba tests para Choferes profesionales y esperaba encontrar algo como Servicio al Cliente Presencial, Test de Manejo seguro, Test de Seguimiento de Instrucciones y tal.

Otro tema es que puedas crear tus propios Tests con preguntas sugeridas por IA de acuerdo a una lista de Tareas y Responsabilidades que tengas sobre la vacante en cuestión. Por ejemplo, si estoy buscando un Torre de control con 12 tareas a evaluar. Que en la creación del Test me salgan preguntas sugeridas de esas 12 tareas a evaluar.

Otro tema es que debería haber más planes sencillos para empresas pequeñas con funciones más limitadas pero talvez más tests disponibles. O que la posibilidad de crear Test esté solo disponible para una versión muy premium. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TestGorilla?

"The technical tasks are not good enough to assess the candidates' skills, customer service is not helpful, and the terrible company policy regarding the annual payment plan"

One of the main reasons we chose Test Gorilla was to create tasks for technical roles. However, over time, I’ve realized that the tasks on the platform don’t quite meet our expectations and are unable to fully assess our candidate's technical skills. They are either too simple or too difficult. Considering all of this, we have decided not to use the platform in our hiring process in 2025 and to return to our own assessment methods.

Since we didn’t cancel the subscription, the annual package was renewed. After contacting them within 1-2 hours to say that we didn’t wish to use the product, we requested a refund for the subscription fee. However, our refund request was rejected. Despite repeatedly stating that we will not be using their platform, they are refusing to refund our payment. It is truly disappointing that we have made a one-year payment for a platform will not be using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TestGorilla?

Friendly interface, nice design, the simplicity of the initial integration with the ATS we use (Breezy HR) and i guess, the flexibility to create your own "package" of test by position Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TestGorilla?

They have horrible customer service and support once you paid for the service, starting by the fact that they dont have native speaking analysts in all the countries that they offer the service (in our case Mexico) so communication is very difficult not only by lenguage but per time zone as well, once you sort this, they have incredible long waiting time to solve bugs or issues with their data base (we are about to reach 1 month without attention) and one of their most attractive test which is "Cultural add" is useless and requires tons of fixed and configuration not just "for company" but by "position" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about TestGorilla?

I have never been so outraged by a company’s unethical practices. I contacted TestGorilla support to inquire about switching to an annual subscription. I never authorized any transaction or agreed to any terms, nor was I even told the cost of the annual plan during the conversation. Yet, because they had my card on file, they went ahead and charged me thousands of dollars without my explicit consent.

When I immediately reached out to clarify that I did not ask to be signed up for anything, their response was infuriating: “It’s too late.” They refused to cancel the subscription or refund the unauthorized charge, claiming that they executed this transaction on my behalf. This company’s business model appears to rely on misleading practices and trapping customers into subscriptions they never requested. To make matters worse, the lack of transparency and dismissive attitude from their billing and support teams shows how little they care about their customers. What do you like best about TestGorilla?

The tests are suitable for getting a first idea of a candidate, making it possible to sort candidates even before the first rounds of interview. The customization process and the whole user excperience is very smooth, even for a first-time-user, making the implementation very convenient. Integrating testgorilla into our process was rather easy as well as we send out the test before we conduct the first interviews, somehow detatching it from the rest of the process. What do you dislike about TestGorilla?

Unfortunately, there are no difficulty settings, making it a little harder to apply the test for different types of profession. The mere classification among percentiles is not sufficient to address the need for different positions. An accountant would still need to score high, although at easier questions - the current system requires him to take the same test as a manager - the only difference would be that we now have to decide, how little points we can still accept. Our hiring process, particularly in Nigeria, attracts lots of candidates who, based on their CVs, seem suitable. However, in the past, we would find out in the first round of itnerviews, that 80% were severely lacking the necessary skills for our jobs. What do you like best about TestGorilla?

I love that TestGorilla gives us insight into our candidates and our current employees. It's very easy to use for everyone, so we use it for all of our interviews. The results that we get are spot on with all of our staff, which allows us to better implement a match up of team members. What I dislike is that it’s not very customizable for certain assessments, and some edits can no longer be made; instead, it’s necessary to create a new assessment. What do you like best about TestGorilla?

I love how fast it is to set an evaluation for so many different profiles. I really prevent my team for wasting time with candidates that may not be up to the standard required for a position. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Having only the archive option for evaluations that are not needed. In my case while learning how to use it, it set up a couple wrong evaluations that I prefer to delete instead of archiving them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I am hoping for the resending of expired link will improve. A button for quick resending of link/invite should be more efficient rather than deleting initial invite and sending an invite again.
