What do you like best about Astro by Astronomer?

We needed an Airflow solution without the hassle - something that would allow us to focus our time on data science rather than on maintaining infrastructure. The Astronomer team was there to help us along the way, and the product just worked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Astro by Astronomer:

It is very worth considering Astronomer over self-hosting Airflow. In the long run it will save a lot of time and hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Astro by Astronomer solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are a nonprofit with volunteers assisting us with data for good projects. Astronomer allows our volunteers to easily set up pipelines. We looked into self-hosting Airflow, but it would have cost us more in time and effort. It was quickly agreed that self setup and maintenance weren't worth it. The biggest value we get is the reliability around Astro, knowing that the Astronomer team is there to support us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Astro by Astronomer?

Astronomer helps us avoid many low level details of running an airflow platform such as security, networking, and kubernetes. The support staff is very knowledgable and responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Astro by Astronomer?

We are not yet on Astro Cloud, we are on Software, so at times there are issues between the astronomer software and the environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

My team most benefitted from the ability to test locally throughout our migration to Astronomer. Before, we'd have to submit PRs to our staging branch and cross our fingers. Now, we know with confidence that a PR to stage is at least working locally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Astro makes it easy to get up-and-running with Airflow. The management platform is intuitive and robust. The CLI provides a solid framework for building on the platform as a team. What do you like best about Astro by Astronomer?

Astro by Astronomer reduced our TCO for an airflow platform, reducing hiring requirements, and significantly increasing developer velocity.
