From the Automated Vulnerability Scanner vendors we looked at, AppCheck had by far the most flexible platform, which suited our needs well.

The automated web crawler found the majority of the screens we would expect, and being able to add scripts that the crawler would follow allowed us to increase the rate of coverage even more, even through very complex forms and user journeys.

AppCheck enable us to be easily compliant with our ISO27001 solution, they probide a service that plays a large part in the layers of protection we need for systems. The licencing is ideal for buying from them for a specific product(s) but we would love the ability to use internally via a different licence model, that allows us to provide it as a service to our customers rather than simply recommed AppCheck to our customer base. Appcheck is a very nice tool. Using the GoScript features it has been able to successfully authenticate to many of the more complex applications we need to scan. There are a large number of configuration options that allow a user to fine tune scans to better match the applicaiton that is being tested. As with most DAST scanners there is still need to triage and validate findings, but in our experiance the number of false positives is low. I appreciate the overall scan coverage.

There are a few areas that I think need to be improved. For starters the UI is very outdated. If you have a larger number of scans across many applications it becomes hard to navigate and manage because the tilters are limited and thoes that are present are not persistant. The overall workflow needs to be improved as well. Findings that are identified across reocurring scans do not automaticaly close if they are not found in subsequent scans. This only occures if you mark the first instance of the vulnerability as Fixed prior to running the next scan. We purchased Appcheck 2 years ago to allow us to continualy monitor our enviroment. With any tool there is a period of learning the tool, and the support to enable you to do this is brilliant. When there have been bug's or things you would like to see added they are excellent at taking this away and working to deliver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only negative is sometimes there are vulnrabilities that are flagged, that have been patched but the software has not been updated. As a result the check flags this as it falls below the "fixed" software version. We have found this tends to flag non windows system's in this way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We've had AppCheck for some time now, and their services have truly been a game-changer for our company. As a business focused on ecommerce, one of the standout features is the extensive range of scan templates tailored for different Content Management Systems (CMS) systems. These are very easy to launch and the reports they provide are really easy to read, share between teams and action. The ability to re-scan vulnerabilities when fixed is another great feature. We feel a lot more secure since we on-boarded AppCheck.

The open API has been really good for complex integrations and I like that the platform is constantly updated. The whole system is very easy to use.

The only negative I can think of (and I had to really stretch here) is some of the filtering options on the results pages but I have been told in my latest account review we are getting some brand new features regarding this area soon. We used to have a manual pen test, used the free trial to compare and AppCheck blew it out the water. Then it occured to me, manual testers just use automated tools anyway so why not save time and cost. Since signing up the support has been second to none, we have various individuals to speak to based on the level of request, we plan to sign a new 5 year deal 2024 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Consistent security testing for all my web application development. I know for sure before going live my applications are secure and safe.

We love the authentication feature, this is really helpful when testing our E-commerce pages.

Extremely confident in the results after comparing these to a manual penetration tester.

At our organisation, we have used AppCheck globally for a number of years now. I have to say, solution aside, the ongoing support recieved from the team has been excellent. After the contract was signed, and the portal set up, the team continued to support us throughout. Nothing ever felt too much for them. Regarding the solution itself, it's simple to use and very straight forward. It produced accurate results and clients like the fact that we could generate reports almost instantly. Very minor, but the labeling of the scans was often a little confusing...took a while to find them once completed. Scans need to be set up by the AppCheck team....not something yet that can be done by my internal team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
