What do you like best about ANY.RUN Sandbox?

Using anyrun as a dynamic malware analysis tool, really is a game changer as it makes everything simple and fast. Because since the point of dynamic analysis is gaining fast knowledge about how malware operates, this is a real game changer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ANY.RUN Sandbox?

Any.run having a nonpaid subscription is really good, but if it would have a little more sandbox time for free users it would be better since some malwares won't execute by the time you run them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ANY.RUN Sandbox?

Allows me to quickly look at a file or link to determine risk to my organization. This,coupled with other free or open source applications are a valuable tool in your respondersw toolbox, even if you are just spot checking links or attachments for maliciousness.

What do you dislike about ANY.RUN Sandbox?

Even the paid version is using outdated browsers as default. Most malware will now detect that its using IE to open or access as site, which is a good indicator that it's in a sandbox.

There are no video's (that I'm aware of) to help train a new person wanting to learn this complex skill...even at the basic level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It allows attachments to be reviewed in a safe environment, allowing users to open attachments confidently. This reduces risk to the organization as several malicious attachments have been identified using this tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ANY.RUN Sandbox?

Because it is free to use, and it's best to test any malware type. It is also giving me the full detailed process of any software or any malware or vulnerability in the sandboxes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ANY.RUN Sandbox?

What I dislike about this any run is the limitation of testing on latest Windows version. Old windows may not give us same output or reaction than the latest windows. However, it is possible to test any malware to see what kind of processes it is actually affecting it but this does not giving you the full confidence level that it will process the same way in latest windows. What problems is ANY.RUN Sandbox solving and how is that benefiting you?

The problem that any.run solves for me is that I can discover, learn and prevent malware threats before they begin to attack. What it benefiting me is that it is totally free which i can use everyday for my daily malware analysis as SOC Team and able to generate me a full report about the threats which will definitely help me in this case. What do you like best about ANY.RUN Sandbox?

Any.Run lets the users see the public submissions by other users so that it can determine whether a specific file has been submitted for analysis or not. What do you like best about ANY.RUN Sandbox?

I love the ability to open sandbox browsers within my browser. It allows me to open the links found in potentially malicious emails to determine their goals. I can then educate my users about the threats they may have been exposed to. Teaching them what to look for and what could have happened in real time is invaluable! What do you dislike about ANY.RUN Sandbox?

The free package is a bit limited, given that it only allows Internet Explorer on a Windows 7 environment. I find the per-month pricing to be a bit high as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to operate and analyse malware (its behaviour/activities) with minute details

Catching every part of the chain/trail with utmost precision and simplicity to operate the tool. We were trying to build this capability in-house, but with many dollars/resources spent, we weren't even close to what this tool could offer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ANY.RUN Sandbox?

Nothing.

But still want to enhance capabilities to see process tree more granularly and there should be built-in decoders/ Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ANY.RUN Sandbox solving and how is that benefiting you?

It gives our SOC team or first line of defence team an added advantage to stay in top of incidence response.

The earlier root cause analysis use to take lots of time after incidents. All L2/L3 resources were pulled into the call to find the activity trace and without any.run it was a nightmare to even respond to management with appropriate proof/reports.

Now, even L0/L1 associate is able to identify and do threat hunting with assistance of any.run Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
