The platform offers everything we need to host our customer platforms in a performant and secure manner. Our developers enjoy working with the platform; they like the easy configuration of the hosting environment, the automation (deployments, environments per branch, ...) and the local development environment based on Docker.

How to choose! It'd be a toss-up between:
- Not having to get up and fix things during the night
- The confidence our people have in the platform
- Ongoing development of new features

Probably the most limiting down side is that it restricts the IaaS provider you can choose. For example, they support some of the big names like AWS, but not the little ones like CloudSigma. However, they *do* support multiple IaaS providers, so it's not like we're without choice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lagoon feels like running raw AWS with just the right amount of "config-as-code" layered over the top. We would struggle to reproduce the stability and feature-richness of Lagoon if we tackled this directly with Terraform or Helm, especially considering how easy it is to run local development stacks of our production stacks. Many managed hosting solutions have a pricing model which rounds up to a turn-key price, but we feel like we can manage our costs by fine-tuning our application stacks, and invoicing from Amazee is transparent and easy to allocate to different projects. The lean company organisation means people involved in the operations are all around the globe. The primary "SPOC" is writing a Chat message (or support Jira). This caused some headaches to our business initially, as many decision makers weren't familiar with this (and didn't trust, that it'll work when you don't have / known your account manager personally). Although their infrastructure has proven tremendous and reliable, the best thing Amazee has is their people. We've been pleasantly surprised by their support and level of detail, and helpfulness. They are friendly and attentive, and their product just works, once you get everything set up correctly. Even though our sites aren't on the highest tier of availability, we haven't had a single minute of downtime in 6 months, which is impressive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If I had to dislike something, I'd be that they are still growing and finding their footing in terms of billing and services offered, so sometimes it's not as straightforward as how much certain things work or how much it'll cost. Amazee.io's Lando-GitHub-Lagoon deployment workflow has been a real eye-opener for our small agency, having previously only used traditional hosting setups. We looked at all the main Drupal PaaS providers and were most impressed with how well Amazee understood our needs, how easy they are to communicate with, and their simple and transparent pricing structure. We were hand-held throughout the onboarding process and made to feel like Amazee are an extension of our own team. A dedicated Slack channel is used for all communcations, automated deployment messages, and support tickets. Quite simply it works - brilliantly! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you're not used to working in the CLI/Terminal then it might be a bit of a steep learning curve since most of the Lagoon configuration is done this way, but once you wrap your head around it it becomes second nature! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
