What do you like best about Guardian?

1. Guardian helped us to modernize our access control system. It changed physical security from a delinquent cost center into a cost overhead saver and actually making money to the organization.

2. The platform further enables the enterprise to integrate different support systems into access control, making it easier to keep track of things like training expiration, contractor times on site, onboardings and off-boardings etc.

3. Thousands of emails use to be send weekly requesting access and access removals, its all done now by the click of a button and one have a workflow record of everything.

4. The platform enabled mobile credentials to us which is another carbon reduction effort and cost saving in the use of plastics. It further enhanced security of enterprise Identity cards.

5. Scalability of the system is fairly easily done and the product engineers can cater for small sites to very large sites.

6. Guardian customer support specialist know their product and the products it integrate with , making it always for accurate feedback and advise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Guardian?

1. When patches, upgrades and changes are made by the product engineers there seem to be somewhat of a quality control issue. Most of the time when these patches, changes, upgrades are implemented, its almost like small things are not tested well. For some reason almost every time after the latter happened, something on our system wont work, that would take several weeks then to get fixed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Guardian?

Guardian is a one stop shop for access provisioning. We recently rolled out the visitor identity management (VIM) module and the bank team has included financial center credentialing as a part of our future road map . I have been working with Alert ( Navjot Singh and his team) for the last 2 plus years and he and his team provide amazing customer service and support. Navjot is always a phone call or email away. The AE team is very receptive to the bank teams improvement ideas and I haven't heard a no yet. If a challenge does pop up, which is rare, Navjot brings a wealth of subject matter experts to resolve quickly. Also no issues on the AE side with the physical hardware ( AMAG panel/Sym blue readers/ barcode readers) that we use to support the enterprise. Application also supports our new SMART credentials. What do you dislike about Guardian?

Nothing specifically pertaining to Guardian but I feel the ticketing tool ( Jira ) can be greatly improvided to provide more detail and a dashboard that will give us more meaningful data such as volume, open outstanding items with lenght open etc , Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Guardian?

The AlertEnterprise Guardian product plays an important role in our company's IAM program and it helps us to maintain our compliance posture with the NERC CIP standards. It's not necessarily the flashiest tool in our company's portfolio, but it doesn't have to be because it does what we need it to do. Its best feature is the technical support that comes along with it.

We have a support person that is dedicated to our account that that has become very familiar with our specific implementation as a result. Responses to questions and issues that arise are prompt, and fixes are usually delivered in a timely manner whenever they are needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Guardian?

Users often complain about the user interface indicating that's difficult to find what they are looking for, or that too many mouse clicks are necessary to get to where they need to go. The search feature is inconsistent; users are forced to use wildcards in some search boxes if their search terms aren't exact but not in others. Overall performance of the application has been an issue at times as well where certain screens can take a very long time to load. The biggest issue with Guardian, however, is it's reporting capability (or lack thereof). Direct database queries are often needed to extract information from the application that must then be combined manually with third-party tools in order to meet the demands of users or auditors. There also many instances where screenshots must be obtained and offered as evidence to auditing bodies because the totality of the information shown on those screens can't easily be extracted from the database in a format that is useful those who aren't intimately familiar with the product.
