We previously tried a digital asset manager packed with features, but it was so complicated and time-consuming to upload and tag images that no one ended up using it (despite being locked into a three-year contract!). Air has been a game-changer. Its simplicity makes it incredibly easy to use—we can provide guest links for photographers to upload photos directly to a board and seamlessly share boards with stakeholders for selection and approval. The one feature I wish Air offered is AI-powered facial recognition. With the more complex platform we previously used, we could tag a few faces, and the system would automatically identify those individuals across our entire photo library. The visual display of assets in the cloud is nice, and the ability to share files outside of internal teams has also been helpful. Integration with Canva is nice for our teams too. The search is lacking. If you don't tag items manually they can be hard to track down. Also, it cannot tell the difference between .ai files and .pdf files of the same name, nor can you visually see an InDesign file so it has to be downloaded to verify it's the right asset or to be reviewed or we use extra space to have PDFs uploaded for each InDesign file. Would be nice to be able to print directly from a file without downloading it first but I understand why that may not be feasable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The features I utilize the most are the subboards organization. It's easy to VISUALLY (which is HUGE) see what subboard I'm looking for. Likewise, I am very impressed by how easy it is to collect photos from other people by simply sending them a link. Lastly, I enjoy just sending a link and seeing WHO clicked it and when; especially with deadlines. I use it 3-4 times a week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think when I have uploaded photos to an album and have sent them out to be used. The photos they would download would be blurry? Not sure why but I compared the photos they posted (on Instagram) vs on Air and it was 2 different qualities. Not sure if it was Air or them but it was something I noticed multiple times. I truly appreciate air! There are so many wonderful things about air platforms, but here are my top three highlights: great price points! Our small businesses enjoy fantastic rates, and as we expand, there are incredible upgrade options that won’t break the bank.
With the tagging system, I can effortlessly label all images by color, style, launch, and any details that help make our team members’ lives easier. Tags allow them to quickly search the platform for everything they need.
I also love creating folders for the team to upload without needing access to the account. This is incredibly helpful for maintaining full control, ensuring that no one on the team can move or delete any assets. It gives me peace of mind, knowing exactly what comes in and what goes out.
Using the usage right tab is also fantastic for keeping track of all the different usages we have for each model or company we work with! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing I find a bit inconvenient is that when you delete something, you need to contact the team to retrieve it. While it’s not a struggle since they respond quickly and it’s easy to reach out, I would really appreciate having an option to store deleted items in a folder. This way, if I need to recover something, I can do it myself without having to contact anyone, and it could be automatically deleted after a month. That would be so helpful! Our team struggled to find a platform to organize our various assets, we tried other options but eventually landed on Air and couldn't be happier. It's simple to use and allows us to organize hundreds of assets in a way that makes sense for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's cheap, even though our costs have doubled each of the last two years (without adding users or functionality) it is still less than the next best thing.
The UI is decent, it's easy to navigate etc. Uploading is easy, setup is easy. It is very easy to share libraries etc with users outside the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We've had files and folders dissapear causing HUGE issues with trying to recover lost files. Their Air flow software is aboslute trash and shouldn't be trusted. You end up with a lot of duplicate files. We finally decided after two years to abandon air for a competitor. We lost two massive video projects and a huge folder of brand assets we were working on. It cost us probably 80-100 hours to recreate the work. It was all an Air issue, which is less than ideal. I wouldn't recommend it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a great place to store massive amounts of information and images. I like the design of the platform and how easy it is to add new folders and create seamless organization processes. It's easy to use and I do use it frequently. It's been easy to use for our entire team and to have new people learn about air, so easy implementation. I have no experience with customer support. There are a number of bugs that make it difficult to use the organization processes. One of them is sometimes the search feature does not work. Or, it will load up the folder or whatever I search up for, but then when I go to click on it, it will load everything that is inside air. There are also sometimes duplicate folders which leaves me in a weird spot becuase I don't want to delete one of the "duplicates" because every time I click on it, it selects both. I also wish there was a way to not let certain folders be deleted completely. We no longer use air on our desktops/in finder because someone accidentally deleted a lot of information, and I'm not sure how much of that was recoverable. One feature I would love to see from Air is the ability to customize the thumbnail when sharing a link. At times, it displays your work, while other times it shows Air's logo. As a designer at a marketing agency, I use Air daily to organize my files and send folders to clients. My favourite thing about using Air is the ease of use when sharing large files with clients. It's helpful that I can keep my files organized internally but choose to share just specific folders to clients. As an agency, we also LOVE using the file request folder as it's very handy to get files uploaded right into our organizational system,.

Air has helped organize our photos and made searching photos easy for the entire agency. We had over 10,000 images stored on our server, and we used a ton of storage, so we had to know exactly where the photo was located. This has made so many images accessible to everyone at the agency and to our clients. Also has been a great resource to share libraries with clients and deliver assets to media partners in an organized fashion. It is so easy to use and the customer service is next level.
