I've been a Premiere Pro user for a few years now and you can see how much the software has improved. Some of the key features I like are below:
1) Hardware acceleration. This really improved render time by quite a bit. I can say render times on WIndows are almost as fast as render times in Final Cut for Mac.
2) Proxies. The option to create ingest proxies for 4K footage is simply great. Smooth playback on the timeline really speeds things up and lets you edit without hiccups.
3) The community. Premiere Pro has a huge community with great tutorials online. You can also find great free presets as well paid presets that are time-saving.
4) Integration with After Effects and Photoshop. The integration with both pieces of software is very important since you can move from one software to the other without any hiccups at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Render times in Premiere Pro are still a little slow if you compare them to Apple's Final Cut, although things have imrpoved a lot thanks to hardware accelration in Adobe Media Encoder. Sometimes it can be buggy. There are still a lot of old effects in the library that should get an update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Quality of the product delivery
- Being able to get transcript of a video and create the captions within your production period without having to go to another tool
- Large variety of exporting type of files and being able to play with the quality to adjust the size needed of the file without loosing quality
- How well it links the audio editions with Audition Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- I feel like the integration with After Effects could be better
- I wish we could have a way to compress renders for social media size requirements wich usually goes from 10 MB to 50MB but when you create a video with lots of effects and in high quality and also it's long it's hard to get to the 50 MB for example that is a constant requirement for me and I get videos of 20 min ish. There are so many features that I like about this particular video editing software. But one of the best thing is we can easily import and edit layers files from Photoshop and vectors from illustrator. Not only photoshop and illustrator but also with other Adobe tools. Currently, the AI has changed the game, it automatically reframes videos according to the platforms. And the speech to text feature also helpful in generating captions with high accuracy and much more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One of the major downsides is its performance. It lags and crashes sometimes maybe because of compatibility issues making the editing process more stressful. Some of its subscription-based features are quite expensive which is the major downturn for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having used Premiere for 15 plus years I 'll admit there was a few times I thought I moving over to Davinci. But the last few years I feel like Adobe have really dialled in the product. I love some of the AI features they have implemented and use some of them on a daily basis (captioning, scene detect, vocal enhancer). I also feel like Adobe are actually taking user's feedback on board and implementing those changes into the software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
That you can only use it on two computers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Number one the amount of apps you get to use. Next is being able to save everything to the cloud. That saved so much space on my laptop allow everything to move as fast as the day I bought it. The versatility is why I will be keeping my subscription Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The least I would say is being able to find customer support. If you have a problem, its tough finding support, but after you do get a hold of them. They do get your squared away. It's Easy to integrate into your current work load and easy to use though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I learned video edition with Adobe Premiere Pro so of course I selected it as my main video editor, especially as I am using the whole Adobe Creative Suite. I use it every two weeks for content creation, especially for high-end quality for YouTube. I have requested not support with the tool but with payments, and the customer support was really good. Again, I was taught to use the tool so I was already familiar with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If I am honest, as video channels are evoliving, and TikTok format is leading the competition and they also provide a video edition tool: Canva that has an amazing UX/UI, I think it'll be great to keep Adobe Premiere relevant by creating an option like CapCut. So I can say I "dislike" not being very mobile friendly as Adobe Rush is not enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use, communication with the Adobe suite, and the sheer breadth of capability from simple cutting to motion graphics. From presets to animating key frames or adding effects and color grading - it has it all. I rarely need another program. I even do graphic design in it from time to time! Not being able to purchase the program outright, individually is concerning. Subscriptions are expensive. There is a pretty big learning curve, and it's not always intuitive to learn something new. Luckily, there's lots of guides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use Adobe Premiere Pro for approximately five years now, and I love how useful and straightforward it is. I also work with other programs, and Premiere Pro is my favorite because I can edit a lot in one day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like that sometimes it crashes and I can not find what I did. It can be very frustrating because all your work can be gone in seconds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to use video editing tool with easy integration into all Adobe suite tools. Tons of features and effects. I use Premiere for all video projects even if I start in After Effects, the content usually ends up in Premiere for audio mastering and final cuts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing I dislike about Premiere pro. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Premiere is constantly updated with great new features, and they are starting to lean into some very exciting AI. I've always found the program to be very stable on my custom-built computer.
I know I can rely on Premiere to allow me to focus on creating content rather than how things work. I highly recommend this program to anyone who edits video. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you are new to the software, it has a bit of a learning curve. Thankfully there are lots of free resources available (from Adobe as well as professional editors on YouTube). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For me it is very important that the tool allows you to edit short clips and export them with excellent resolution and low weight. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the system crashes without having any idea why. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
