I’ve been working in the digital space for years, managing eCommerce operations and client services for various businesses. Throughout this time, I’ve tested numerous automation tools like Albato and Make, each with its strengths.
However, Activepieces is steadily becoming my main workhorse, especially for those heavy-duty, complex automations that are crucial to keeping everything running smoothly.
Activepieces stands out because of its scalability and power. It’s designed not just to handle basic automations but to tackle the more intricate workflows that other tools sometimes struggle with.
For instance, in my day-to-day operations, I’ve used Activepieces to automate the processing of orders across multiple eCommerce platforms and streamline various client service tasks.
The fact that it’s open-source and backed by Y Combinator gives me confidence that it will continue to grow and improve alongside my business. This adaptability and potential make it invaluable to my operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
this isn’t the tool you hand over to a complete newbie and expect miracles. If you’ve got zero coding experience, the initial setup, especially with APIs and HTTPS connections, can feel a bit daunting. Activepieces does offer an AI assistant to help smooth things out, but it’s not going to do all the work for you. You’ve got to be willing to get your hands a little dirty.
And while it’s marketed as no-code, don’t expect a super intuitive drag-and-drop experience right out of the box. It’s powerful, sure, but with that power comes a bit of a learning curve. It’s not as polished or simple as some other tools in my arsenal, but that’s also what gives it the edge for more complex workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Activepieces has become a game-changer for our marketing team across EMEA. Managing multiple campaigns and data flows across different markets can be overwhelming, but Activepieces handles the complexity with ease.
The best part? It integrates seamlessly with our existing systems like Salesforce, HubSpot, and Google Analytics. We’ve set up automations that pull data from Salesforce into Google Sheets for real-time reporting and trigger targeted email campaigns through HubSpot based on lead engagement.
Even though our developer enjoys customizing API calls and diving into the more complex features, the rest of the team can still automate our day-to-day tasks without feeling lost. Simple things like syncing contact lists across platforms have become a breeze, allowing us to focus on what really matters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The initial setup was a bit of a challenge, especially when it came to integrating APIs and advanced workflows. Connecting our custom CRM via API, for example, required a lot of digging through documentation and some trial and error. It wasn’t as intuitive as some other tools we’ve used, like Zapier, particularly when setting up basic automations.
Also, when it comes to multi-step workflows involving data transformations, the interface could be more user-friendly. It took some time (and a lot of help from our developer) to get everything running smoothly.
However, once we got through the initial hurdles, the tool really started to shine. The support from the Activepieces community has been fantastic, with detailed guides and responsive help forums that made the process easier. We’ve also noticed that the team is actively working on improving the user experience, which is encouraging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I’ve tried various tools like Zapier and Integromat, but Activepieces stands out for handling intricate workflows where others often fall short.
It’s important to note that this isn’t a plug-and-play tool. There’s a learning curve, particularly if you’re not familiar with APIs or HTTPS connections. But once you get the hang of it, it’s a powerful tool. It’s already managing some of my most critical automations, saving me a lot of time and hassle.
The support is solid, and the community is active and helpful. While it’s not perfect and some integrations are still being developed, the platform is constantly improving. If you’re willing to invest a bit of time to learn it, Activepieces is definitely worth trying.
For my use cases, like auto-posting YouTube videos to WordPress and syncing calendars, Activepieces has made life a lot easier. Plus, it’s simple enough for non-coders to use. I’m excited to see more integrations in the future to automate even more tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing at all, maybe the learning curve but it's quite simple and short. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Activepieces is a great alternative to the more expensive automation options. I'm by no means an expert in this field, creating only basic automations for my clients needs, but Activepieces makes it easy with their integrations and no code flow builder. I find the automations run well with any errors (made by me!) easily found within the UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Activepieces is simple to use, it does not have the same ease of use and clear UI of the 'king' of automation, Zapier. But then when you look at the price difference, that is a sacrifice I'm more than willing to make! Plus Activepieces are constantly developing and are active on their Discord server so I can see their offering improving over time! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Activepieces addresses the need for efficient automation in digital marketing, particularly in managing email campaigns through ConvertKit and generating AI responses with GPT. By automating these tasks, it saves considerable time and effort, allowing me to focus on strategic initiatives. The integration with ConvertKit streamlines email marketing, while the GPT-powered responses enhance customer interaction and personalization. This results in increased productivity, better targeting, and more effective campaigns, ultimately boosting overall marketing performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Active Pieces typically has fewer integrations compared to Zapier, which supports thousands of apps. This limitation means that we might not find all the apps we need to connect workflows.
But i hope they bring maximum integrations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The intuitive interface, diverse functionalities, powerful integrations like ChatGPT, efficiency gains, and collaborative community aspect make Activepieces a valuable tool that has positively impacted our E-commerce operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The initial setup and learning how to utilize all the features efficiently can be a bit complex and time-consuming.
Although Activepieces integrates with a variety of apps and platforms, there may be certain specific integrations that are not readily available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Activepieces is a breath of fresh air when you compare it to the currently established Business Automation Tools, The fact it's Opensource and provides the ability to deploy a fully featured self hosted environment of AP free of charge allowing you to have as many flows as you want, for as many runs as you need is extremely competitive in the market and quite generous of the AP team.
AP offers many of the essential BA tools that you would need, Such as webhooks, Integrations with many common Google services such as Excel/Drive/Gmail and much more. And the interface provided is quite simple and clean, only showing the important details relevant to the current piece/flow you're working with.
And the best part is that it's only going to get better and larger! every week the team anounces new Pieces ready to be used in AP either from the awesome community contributors ( yey opensource! ) or the AP team themselves! So it's only a matter of time until AP catches up with industry giants like Zapier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like to see more detailed documentation for AP. I've struggled with some Pieces that had no documentation on the website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Activepieces has been the easiest and most user friendly automation software I've used, I've found it extremely easy to set up flows and get automations up and running in a very short space of time.
The community site and discord servers are very active and have lots of information, definitely worth checking out if you ever get stuck. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the documentation can be quite vague around pieces, it's definitely improving but showing use cases of how core pieces can be implemented would be really helpful. Luckily there are examples from users on youtube that show this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If I had to be super critical, the documentation could be more a little more comprehensive. However, updates are in progress, and the active Discord community is super helpful for urgent questions. I’m confident the documentation will improve over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The custom code piece that allows you to use javascript and npm packages for lots of flexibility. *update: the new ai hints for custom code is fantastic! Also, the custom API builder got some nice improvements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
*update after 6+ months: the team has been constantly updating the system and adding new integrations. The limited amount of native integrations available, which means you end up having to read the API docs for your apps and write the code yourself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
