It's hard to pick a tool within the platform that I like the most, as it's very comprehensive. However, I really like the integration with Microsoft Entra ID, where you can assign roles to users and also set access rules to resources within Microsoft Azure. Microsoft Azure offers some of the best cloud services at low costs. The UI can be a bit confusing to navigate for a novice user. Also the pricing is on a higher end when compared to other cloud solutions providers. Also it keeps on suggesting to use RBACs and other azure managed features to increase the security score which eventually leads to increase in cost. Some of the services and data warehouse solutions in Microsoft Azure Cloud are confusing and make it hard to decide on the optimal service, tool, or cloud application that suits the project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are several applications and advantages of using Azure Application Gateway:

1. It can handle SSL termination, so application layer doesn't need to bother.

2. URL based routing for balancing load on different microservices.

3. We can select load balancing strategy like Round Robbin, weighted round robbin etc to distribute load based of backend capabilities.

4. It also supports session affinity to redirect users to same backend application on consecutive requests in same session

5.Automatic scaling

6. In built Web application firewall to filter bot and malicious traffic.

Not much user friendly and requires bit of expertise to configure.

AWS application load balancer is much easier to setup for beginners.

Also it only supports HTTP protocol, hence can not be used for other applications like SMTP server.
