The best and most underrated aspect of backup radar is it's ability to distinguish successes and failures independently from the services the backup originates from. Being allowed to track if a job has executed correctly, and even if it has executed at all, have made me more agile and quicker on my decision making and fixing the problems.
Before backup radar, other backup services providers always marked as success if the last execution was that way, and didn't take into account the incremental backups you could have during the same day, that can miss. Therefore didn't show that no result, backup radar never misses to notify me when a expected job doesn't execute, marking it as missed even if that same day we had a success, because it updates during the day it isn't only a tool you use at the start of your workflow, but one that helps you throughout all your working day.
Another really great aspect is the interface, dashboard specially, it's modular and fully customizable. To be highlighted is it's integration with log sending, is what you could say "plug and play", you add the email in box and instantly it detects the new objects in the mails so you can associate them to plans. I had a problem with a mailbox that was sending the wrong emails, and they were quick to answer and find a solution, so I can't complain about customer service either. If I had to say , the part that doesn't fit with me the most is the way it shows the date a information is from, I would like for them to show or make a way so I can know in a glimpse that the information I'm looking at is from, and I would love for them to add the ability to show the different states during the day, with some type of option to load the information only until 10am, or from 10am to 6pm, it would allow me to segment and divide the working day better, making monitorization even easier. L'outil est très performant et vous montre juste assez de ce que vous devez savoir concernant les sauvegardes. Les intégrations sont très faciles à configurer et le support a été très réactif. Backup radar gives me a central console to see all my backups, no matter the various backup products our clients use, all in one single portal. It will show failures and success, that is an easyone, but one of the best things is that is shows when "nothing" happens. That usually results in no email alert being sent and if you are only moniting failures like many do, it appears to be a success (no email alert). Being able to injest just about any kind of backup log is extremely helpful. We inherited an obscure cloud-based backup for one client that we notified Backup Radar's support team and within a couple of days they were able to parse the emails so we could get successful or failed notifications automatically.
