I have been hosting my blog on x10hosting for more than 4 years now and I don't have any complains. They have free/shared/cloud hosting plans and have different value propositions.
What I like about x10hosting are the following:
1. A person can choose either free or paid hosting
2. There is no ad even if you choose free posting
3. I have not faced any down time since the time I have been using it
4. When I used the free version, there were not much limitations, at least for a small site such as a blog
5. FTP works
6. Databases can be used as they are available and this makes work easy
7. Wordpress and other solutions are just a button click away

It is a bit slow as compared to other hosting services, however with the free service one really can't complain. Insgesamt hat uns X10 Hosting mit ihrem kostenlosen Plan überzeugt. Als unser Traffic zunahm, entschieden wir uns, auf den kostenpflichtigen Plan umzusteigen, stießen jedoch immer wieder auf CPU-Nutzungsfehler, die die Seite zum Absturz bringen, obwohl sie relativ klein ist (etwa 100 Zugriffe pro Tag). When I first used x10Hosting, I was just starting out and hosted my blog on it. As a student back then, I wanted to learn and also didn't have money to spend on those fancy hosting websites. I needed to a quick, easy, and free solution.
Well, x10Hosting comes with all of that. It also has a premium option that gives more benefits, but I think the simple version is good as well. Obviously, this is not used for hosting a company website, but personal projects or where data privacy is not a big deal will do good.
They provide latest tools, databases, wordpress sites, cpanel etc.

Sometimes the service is slow and I can't do much on the server and in those case, I will not use this service for a project where privacy and fast response are needed.
