I initially invested a total sum of $95,000 over a period of 18 weeks. Our implementation was a nightmare. Worst experience in my professional career with a vendor. They over promised and under delivered. We had to push back our go live date 3 times. They really messed up our payroll taxes and reconciling that mid quarter was a mess and a lot of work. We still have issues but it’s gotten better 2 yes in however if I could go back I never would have done this! And now after being sold that they never raise prices they have raised prices.

I have implemented Paycom at three companies. Implementations are never easy but I have always been pleased with the overall process. The more I participate and provide direction the simpler it is. I have learned to ask deep and specific questions to keep from dealing with any overselling issues. I have ran robust training programs with Paycom and minimal ones. I do not believe there is any other choice out there that is a one stop program for your employees. The simpler you keep it for employees the more success you will have. I believe in Paycom so much that I have have done a Podcast and video for them with their Learning module.

What is a good way to ensure that applications are not getting lost?

We have some applications that come through on a delayed schedule and sometimes when we see them.

Hi Doug, Thanks for reaching out! I have a few suggestions on how you can ensure no one slips through the cracks. 1. Implement a strong internal process of "who owns what", if you know that X person is responsible for reviewing applicants and moving them to candidates, that person can take ownership of a step. Additionally being diligent in moving someone to candidates when ready ( I recommend once you want to reach out and initiate conversation) can make it clear what needs to be done in the applicants tab. 2. Download our mobile app. The app allows you to review and initiate conversation with an applicant right from your phone. If you find you are not at your desk or a computer for long periods of time, this can help keep you up to speed. 3. Use our, recently updated, candidate search feature. This functions as a candidate database for anyone that has applied to the account. Putting all of your applicant pools into one bucket that you can then sort using smart filters. I have adjusted my notifications to be informed when an applicant applies. It will also show applicants as viewed or not viewed. I move candidates to "advance" if they are in consideration to be sure none get lost.
