What do you like best about PL Rating?

Being able to export client information to PL rater and access quotes on carrier websites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PL Rating?

When I bridge to Hawksoft the VIN Number and DL number to not import correctly. I cannot see those in PL rater because they are incomplete. I then need to call the client to confirm those details. Also, if the prospective client entered information incorrectly into PL Rater and we bridge it to a certain carrier we cannot edit the quote. What do you like best about PL Rating?

With PL Rating, I can get quotes from several different companies in very little time. I really like that it will pull in all the information we have on file for each individual. This can save a lot of time if you have several vehicles and/or drivers.

PL Rater is easy to work with and the Customer Service is great. With the increase in rates, we are using this almost daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PL Rating?

The only downsides that I have found is that not all companies use PL Rater and you do have to answer several questions that are different for each company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PL Rating solving and how is that benefiting you?

With the increase in all our company rates, we are having to requote about 60-70% of all renewals, With PL Rater intergrating all information we have for each person, it makes our job much quicker. What do you like best about PL Rating?

- Occasional downtime between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM, which can be inconvenient during tight deadlines.

- Limited occupation options in the Auto Quote feature.

- Some VIN numbers are not detected properly, slowing down data entry.

PL Rating helps solve the problem of streamlining the quoting process and managing vehicle-related information more efficiently. It saves time by automating much of the quoting and data entry, reducing manual work. The platform’s reliability, most of the time, ensures that tasks can be completed quickly, allowing me to focus on more complex aspects of my job. Overall, it has greatly improved efficiency, particularly when handling multiple quotes or client inquiries, which directly contributes to better productivity and faster response times. What do you like best about PL Rating?

It brings in all the info from the prior term with current customers. I do not feel that it is as easy with new business. It is a great way to teach new agents how to get quotes quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PL Rating?

I would like it to order all reports for us so we can get a more accurate quote to start out with instead of having to go in and look at the quotes. But really it is very nice to have them there and you can pick and choose which ones you want to go into.

What do you like best about PL Rating?

The fact that you can make client profiles, and save all of the client information. That it integrates really well with our carriers and the AMS360 software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PL Rating?

That the general questions for each company arent together instead of asking a million questions for each compaony repetitively. We should have the ability to answer all group questions in one spot, all plumbing in one spot, etc, instead of trying to find each companies specific questions. What do you like best about PL Rating?

The best part about PL Rating is its ease of use. It allows for simple attachments and policy amendments, seamlessly connecting the PL reader to our vertical AMS360 system. This integration enhances workflow efficiency and ensures accurate data management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PL Rating?

The biggest drawback of PL Rating is that many carriers don’t fully support features for raters. This creates issues when trying to return quotes with multiple carriers, as some simply don’t work within the system. This limitation can slow down the quoting process and require additional manual work to get accurate results.

Additionally, I wish more customer fields were stored in a client profile that would automatically populate when initiating a home or auto quote. For example, when starting an auto quote, key details like the customer’s driver's license number and date of birth aren’t integrated, requiring me to manually re-enter them every time. 1, Speeds Up Quoting – Instead of manually entering customer info on multiple carrier websites, PL Rater lets you input it once and get multiple quotes instantly, saving time and hassle.

2. Makes Comparing Quotes Easier – It lays out different carriers’ rates and coverage side by side, so you can quickly find the best option for your client without jumping between systems.

What do you like best about PL Rating?

When I first started in insurance, I had to quote each carrier individually and it took so much time inputting the information over and over. PL rating cut that time down significantly! What do you like best about PL Rating?

In 2024 we had a record-breaking year for new business in auto and homeowners' insurance premiums. What do you like best about PL Rating?

It provides a quick way to quote for a new customer, or to remarket an existing account. It integrates easily with other Vertafore products and seamlessly allows us to share information between products. It also is very easy to train new hires on the product.
