If you are lucky enough to work for a corporation that can make the initial investment to purchase all the modules offered (FSS, NSS, RCS, Tray Monitor) you will avoid many headaches d/t workarounds.

Food Service Suite has many features that you can chose ala carte which is nice for because there are a lot of platforms that we do not need due to using other programs. We use Food Service Suite for our healthcare room service ordering program. The tray monitor function is helpful, and probably my favorite function of the program. It allows us to monitor where a patient's tray is in the process whether being cooked, waiting for delivery, out for delivery, or delivered. This has been very helpful because in the past, trays would get "lost" and we did not know a patient had not eaten until much later. This function has almost eliminated that problem. I also like that there are many avenues you can chose to use it. There is a web based version, you can use it on an iPad or a pc, and it's user friendly for the operators. My operators are older, and they were able to learn to use this program without an issue.

I use the census report feature and en joy the fact that I am able to print out lists of patients by floor and that include diet and supplements.
