Whenever I open an account for a review, one of the things I would always check is Sift and the account's "Network." Seeing all the accounts that shares the attributes or patterns is very helpful when mitigating fraud, especially during those times wherein our CRM is unable to detect these linkages. It's very easy to use and to understand, you don't need to be that knowledgeable in regards to fraud to know how this works. I was able to detect an MO with the help of Sift's network. There were no linked accounts on the CRM but checking with Sift I was able to see the numerous accounts that were linked via the device ID.

Using Sift as one of our tools greatly enhances our fraud prevention efforts. It allows us to detect potential linked accounts and identify emerging fraud patterns through IP addresses as well as device fingerprints. For example, I managed a case where there were no hardlinked accounts visible in the customer’s profile. However, when I accessed Sift, I discovered numerous accounts with stolen information. This insight allowed me to decline the transaction and suspend the account effectively.

The features and information in Sift is very useful especially for making critical decisions when there are not enough information available on our basic tools. Sift serves as the "decision-maker" at times when we are not sure on how to proceed with a certain cases.
