I like how easy it is to use. Unlike photoshop and other products, this one is easy and to the point, so you don't need to spend hours watching videos just to learn how to make a simple image.

There are so many things I like about Pixelmator. It is very user friendly and easy to use. I specifically love the layering effect tool and retouch tool very much.

Looking for a lightweight tool for photo finishing? Here Pixelmator is a fantastic application with a very clean interface. You've got the configurable main window and then can add different tool windows depending on your tasks. So the UI isn't too overloaded and you can work very concentrated. Beside working as stand-aöone application it also integrates into the Apple Photos application. Sadly here only with a subset of its functionality. The tools are clear, this filters are powerful, the whole look and feel is very good. Also sharing is pretty simple. Additionally beside the Mac it's available on iPad and iPhone and the applications can sync their images.
