Pixelmator is cheap. At $29.99, it's practically a steal. It'll handle almost all of your image editing needs. It's easy on the eyes, and well designed visually.

It is very similar to photoshop however, a fraction of the cost! Can't beat it

This has all the makings of becoming a serious Adobe Photoshop competitor for everyone that needs to do any type of photo editing or graphic design. The tools that are available are just as good as the ones that are in Adobe Photoshop. The price point for Pixelmator is perfect and is far better than the subscription-based pricing of Adobe as well.
