Thick paint, looks so darn realisitc, I compared so many competitors and the finished product is by the most realistic on Rebelle

While previous versions of Rebelle were lots of fun, I the latest version, Rebelle 7, really elevates the program to a professional software. The perspective tool is the best I've encountered, and I use it regularly. The smudge tools are excellent; and the new liquefy tools are something you won't even find in PS. But of course, the standout feature is really the painting simulation. The watercolor feature has real-time diffusion and physics effects that can be paused and unpaused. This is similar to prior versions. However, the latest feature's improvements to the oil paints, especially the color mixing, are hard to overstate. The colors mix vibrantly, and the paint intuitively behaves the way you want it to. The polygon select is also superior to PS. I would absolutely recommend.

I use Rebelle 6 Pro as a hobbyist only because of a diabling stroke. I no longer work. Since my disabling stroke I find this app comforting when occupying my time. Coming from ArtRage 6, I find Rebelle so much more customizable on both UI and brushes. I am the type of person who likes deep (almost complex) customizability. This allows more freedom in creating. That is what interested me the most. Another aspect I really like is that the paintings look better; whereas Artrage was more blocky looking (and thats' okay if that is what you want). Rebelle has a great pigment mixing mode I like. Also, the app runs really well (no crashed yet). But, for me the Water Color's "live" effects where water drips to make the paint look runny, is by far the best I have seen in a painting app. Overall, this app is a great product to use.
