The core capability of editing video by editing text is honestly so much better than any other workflow I can imagine. It took next to no time to get comfortable with it and the team keeps making the product better and bringing all of the power of existing video editors into the Descript ecosystem. Honestly, I really love it and would highly recommend a 2021 looking to edit any kind of video.

Love the integration of video, audio and transcript. Also appreciate the ability to add images to make it my own by jazzing up content through video. Love the ability to move audio around to create better flow and an enticing intro. It has less of a learning curve than many. I can blunder through an edit without reading the instructions though obviously that helps.

We use Descript to help with our collaborative editing processes. A lot of our internal communications are screened through a series of executives and Descript makes it really easy to share with the review team. Descript provides a mostly accurate transcript of the video contents, which makes it easier for the reviewers to get through and make notes. Editing directly in the script makes it really easy and fast for me to update the video with changes on the fly. I love how easy it is to remove filler words and improve the audio quality with Descript's built in tools. Overall, Descript has really sped up our editing process and has saved me/us a lot of time and back and forth compared to traditional processes.
