I replaced about 4 other apps when I switched to Descript. I was sold when I saw a commercial video and was pretty blown away when I used it for the first time. I love that feeling when software delivers on its promises and Descript does just that. I would not have started 2 podcasts without it, because I was laboring under the hassle of all the various steps and such that it took, but when I started using Descript, the tools and features made it so much easier for audio or video recording and editing.

Descript enables me to edit my videos without having to be a techie guru. I don't have to use advanced editing techniques with the video and sound bar to edit my video. I just have to watch and listen, following along with the transcription. Then I can edit with cutting out the transcription that does not belong add dubbed in audio for any sound that needs to be replaced. 1,2,3 and done.
