I think it's super user-friendly, helps a lot as a complement to an audio team if you have one and it's extra easy for those who don't. Also, it can be used as a one-stop shop for your post-production.

Descript is an AMAZING tool for both video and audio editing. It shaves hours off of editing tasks, yet has capabilities that let you go deep when you want or need to. You can produce high-quality clips to share on social media without needing additional software, too.

Initially, I most liked that I could remove filler words as my co-host and I were getting used to speaking less in "umms" and "likes." It allowed us to transcribe the entire episode by speaker and edit. That basic function is not really effective anymore, however.
