As an instructional designer, I am often given lengthy mp4 videos to dissect for creating educational materials for sales enablement. Descript saves me hours of work every week as it allows me to upload video files and within seconds, I have a full transcript. Instead of watching hours of pre-recorded webinars, I can simply upload and review the transcript for the exact information I need. You can even remove speakers' filler words from the transcript with just one click which is so cool! My favorite feature is the AI "Underlord" where I can simply ask it for a summary of key enhancements for a product release or to formulate assessment questions based on the video transcript. I would highly recommend this product for those in similar roles looking to save time and utilize innovative features.

Its got to be its timeline & text editor. I tried using Premier Pro and some of the high end products (even Final Cut) and it was way too much for what I was looking for. With Descript I can just edit straight from the transcription so I can get rid of the exact parts I don't want.
