I had a real fright when I accidentally deleted the original file for an interview. Everything was suddenly gone and the help documentation said there was no way for me to retrieve it. I learned about Riverside when I was a guest on a podcast that used it. I saw then how stable the environment was, and my host extolled its virtues. When the time came to start my own podcast, I signed up for my own account. As someone brand new to creating a podcast, I was incredibly impressed with the easy operation of the program. The quality of the recordings are fantastic and after editing the normalise audio function makes the output sound great. I love the text to video editing - this makes the process of editing so much easier. I also love that they are continually adding new functionality that is actually useful. For example they just added a mute function - which sounds simple - but means that all those interruptions and loud laughing that can ruin a recording are easy to take out.

They also have good tutorials and regular webinars with useful advice.

I am only one person and my subscription is good value - but it would be good to be able to schedule more sessions and add personalised backgrounds on my laptop without having to pay more. It was not, but the date on the Project was not what I expected. When the customer service associate offered me the location and what happened, he was kind, thorough, and made sure that he found my project, but also that I understood what happened so I didn't make the same error in the future. Downsides? While it's awesome that recording and uploading happens so quickly, I've had to make it a point to ask guests to keep their devices on and connected to the website for about an extra 30 minutes (and had to call them to get them back online when I've not mentioned it).
