RF's platform is easy to use, moderately easy to integrate into other systems and does an excellent job of making a vast amount of data and information digestable and accessable.
Customer support and engagement is stellar, with updates about new features, advice on how to optimise use of current licenses and tailored suggestions based on current activity and threats. They are not just trying to sell more to you, as some vendors do.
(Context; I use the tool repeatedly on a daily basis). Análise coletada por e hospedada no G2.com.
Some issues with connections to other platforms. Support have generally been willing, but some issues have persisted. They are minor and have generally been easy to work around while fixes are developed. Análise coletada por e hospedada no G2.com.
Great UI, easy to search, powerful advanced queries.
Recently added AI function helps save time researching.
The browser extension is awesome and I use it everyday together with our other cybersecurity tools. easy to integrate,
The Sandbox Analysis is included in the offer and works great to detonate malware, analyze suspicious URLs, allows to interact with the session and provides excellent detail. Análise coletada por e hospedada no G2.com.
The tool has a learning curve and requires some initial setup and fine tuning, but account management team provided great help.
Cost is high and you have to buy modules and seats and the APIs are also expensive, though the value is substantial.
Leaked Credentials alerts generate a lot of false positives.
The recent acquisition by MasterCard may be a concern for some. Análise coletada por e hospedada no G2.com.
Recorded Future is one of the best tools of its type: Intelligence Gathering and Curating. The features provided by Recorded Future like The Sandbox, The query builder, the modules, the collective-intelligence connectors, etc are beneficial. I like the Threat Intelligence module and the queries and dashboards you can create and share with others. The different views are very useful for analysis. Researching data on Recorded Future is not difficult after going through the initial learning curve. I learned about many malware, exploits, PoCs, threat actors, artifacts, IOCs, etc. This tool along with the XDR and Phishing Prevention tools from other vendors makes threat research very effective. The pricing is a bit steep and the fact they hold information and turn into modules is disappointing.
If you want to search for some company/entity you can find quite some info. The moment you start searching on your partners and third-party vendors, sometimes information is under the Third-Party Modules. This is very disappointing and it only causes concern about what other current modules' information will be split and extended into paid add-ons in the future. The identity module is good too but is a one-trick pony. The whole interface is pointless. All you need is an API for this type of integration instead of a whole module that does only one thing. The data ingestion for that module is very inaccurate and not the fastest. Credential dumps are urgent. and need more care. Análise coletada por e hospedada no G2.com.
Recorded Future provides us with near real-time visibility into emerging threats and It allows us to continuously monitor our digital landscape to identify potential risks. The quality of the intelligence being generated is excellent and timely compared to all other providers we've tested. Análise coletada por e hospedada no G2.com.
The UI can feel a little dated and navigating it can be confusing. The Advanced Query Builder is incredibly powerful but requires you to have prior knowledge of the various filters to make the best use of it. It's also expensive but as usual, you get what you pay for. Análise coletada por e hospedada no G2.com.
As a cyber threat intelligence analyst, I appreciate how quickly I can research vulnerabilities and determine their relevance to my organization. The risk rules triggered for each vulnerability are incredibly helpful in assessing criticality. The sandboxing feature is pretty good for safe exploration of the dark web to find information published by ransomware groups or other malicious actors. There were several instances where I visited ransomware extortion page, that supposedly leaked company data, to check the legitimacy. Análise coletada por e hospedada no G2.com.
Both custom and predefined alerts generate lot of false positives. Despite extensive fine-tuning, manual efforts. Human intelligence are often required to filter out these inaccuracie. The tool lacks the capability to identify documents containing sensitive company data. Also pricing is quite expensive, I feel. I would have to agree that there are lot of good than bad. With its few flaws also I would always prefer RF over most of the Tools available. Análise coletada por e hospedada no G2.com.
Recorded Future platform is best in terms of gathering threat intel data related to various threat actors & malware. Intel data is almost updated & recorded future platform provides a detailed list of IOC's, mentions over the internet about that threat actor, Vulnerabilities it can exploit. This helps my security team to build monthly data for all threat actors & malware trying to target my company & its all based on watch lists which a user can create. Nothing much as of now. Only thing which can be improved is file sandbox details, It good as of today but I think more detailed explaining & results should be displayed, Otherwise I think its best in Industry Análise coletada por e hospedada no G2.com.
It gives me complete control. I have the ability to squeeze exactly what I'm looking for out of the platform, tightening or loosening my queries to make sure I can answer my hypothesis as accurately as possible. I also enjoy trying to think of new use cases. The platform's data set is so rich, it is a veritable sandbox of threat intelligence that has the potential to meet so many new and innovative use cases for my team. Thinking of new ways to slice that data is lots of fun, not to mention useful once you find that sweet use case you may not have even realised you had a need for. Sometimes I find the data categories a bit confusing. It would be good to see a slice of the data that sits within those categories before using them in a query. For an example, "Public Messaging" is not particularly self-explanatory. Is Twitter included in there or in "Social Media"? That's a simple example, but it would be good to have examples of the sorts of data in those categories at my fingertips while I'm building queries. The same goes for some of the specific sources. I know the Credential Leaks category contains a number of sources, such as the monthly combo lists. It would be good to see what sources are included while building a query. While the platform is powerful, it can be challenging for new users to fully utilize without extensive training. The learning curve is steep, particularly for advanced features like the query builder and integrations. Another downside is that Recorded Future can be costly, especially for smaller organizations, and the volume of email alerts can be overwhelming without proper configuration. The implementation process, while generally smooth, requires attention to detail, particularly for integrations with other cybersecurity tools Análise coletada por e hospedada no G2.com.

It’s an indispensable asset in safeguarding our bank’s sensitive data and maintaining regulatory compliance.
Highly recommended for any organization looking to strengthen its security operations. Análise coletada por e hospedada no G2.com.
While RecordedFuture offers robust threat intelligence and valuable insights, its pricing can be a challenge for organizations.
The base platform is costly, and the additional expenses for third-party integrations can add up quickly, making it difficult to justify the overall investment.
For a comprehensive threat intelligence solution, we expected more of these integrations to be included without significant extra costs.
While the platform itself is powerful, the pricing structure may not be as flexible as needed for some budgets. Análise coletada por e hospedada no G2.com.
