Ethical use of AI, what's your opinion?

Good morning guys!

I see that lately, the main topic is always "AI." The same is not only here but also in our real life, in work, etc. All beautiful topics, anyone with their own method, creative use, infinite contexts of application, personal custom prompts, etc etc...

The topic I would like to discuss, however, is more based on ethics, literally, the ethical use of an AI that generates an output "as if it were us."

Many AI tools can take a few of our photos and generate countless images of us. In this case, for example, what is your point of view/judgment?

We all know that AIs are helpers, I don't want to talk about the technical side but the ethical one, I open this discussion as a first step, let's talk about it!

Good Question Luca!

Whenever a new technology is introduced, it is used ethically for constructive purposes. In contrast, it is also used unethically; it is unavoidable, like cloning. One measure can be to make inbuilt checks to ensure its misuse. Another can be to have strict regulations.

Expandir/Recolher Options

Hey Sheeba! I completely agree with what you say, and here we are indeed talking about a different type of technology, a "tool" literally capable of cloning us, writing as if we were ourselves or something else...

The era of automation has already raised significant ethical concerns. In this situation, I wouldn't even refer to them as "doubts" anymore; rather, as you mentioned, it is a "problem/situation" to regulate.

Follow up.It’s interesting (obviously considering all the limits of the case) that topics like "which AIs do you use" or "how do you train an AI model", "what is an AI agent," etc.., receive more comments compared to a discussion based on the ethics use of technologies that can literally "operate as if we were doing it ourselves."

It is certainly something that should make us reflect and think about it. Or at least, it is for me!
