The Windows client software is free but can't be auto-updated from the server. No client for Raspberry Pi, even if you run Ubuntu on the Pi - there's just no version of the client for ARM at all. Well, there might be; but it's not a free one. Some of the design options are a little convoluted for general use. Create a slide 'layout,' then add empty 'regions' to put each 'content piece' in is more complex than the needs I have of the system. Xibo is a software without a doubt very fast and stable but it has some things that are very complicated to do. For example, if you have a large number of customers, you will not be able to track the content because the PROGRAM screen is not easy to use, you have to do a lot of steps to achieve something simple like uploading a plug-in to a screen, among other types of things. although it is true that it has been well received by the cyber community its complexity can be a point of conflict.
