It is very perfect that I can instantly preview the application I developed on physical devices, this way I get rid of the burden of installing a simulator on my computer. This saves a lot of both disk space and memory power for programming. Also, the code completion feature is almost as good as Github Copilot, I say almost because sometimes it can wait for 3 seconds before offering suggestions, I don't know, maybe it's because of my computer, but this is perfect, it really gives me exactly what I want and can read the comment lines I made about the data models and provide me with functional data models. XCode takes up a lot of disk space. Disk space is very valuable for an entry-level MacBook Air (I know there are pro models for this, but I had enough money to buy an Air) user like me. XCode uses more space than my disk with swap space due to the frequent updates and the high memory usage caused by its superior capabilities. This can be a bit challenging. Ahh, the IDE size, it's insane. But, thank you to Apple for dividing Simulator as another download instance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is easy to use and contains everything you need for your App developement. With inbuild swift package manager much better to use thirdparty dependencies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
has limited tools for network debuging and can use a lot of resources Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It helps us to deliver games into apps store. The best thing about it as it seemlessly works on Apple frameworks though availability towards other platforms isn't possible without Apple computer but it works best. It has many platform support for objective C and swift. It as a good framework for developing the libraries required for the development and bridging to internal libraries for the games. The AR scene creation is super friendly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only drawback is the limitation to single OS which is Mac OS. A person who wants to deploy into Apple Store must have a Mac OS computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It groups all needed tools for developing apps for iOS, macOS, ...
It's easy debugging and simple UI make my life easier as an iOS developer! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Maybe for me, Xcode becomes slower with large projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pretty useful for mobile devices and testing. I use Xcode for more of a UI to utilize in mobile testing on mulitple mobile Apple devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can't contral the mobile views as much as i would like more customization of the sizes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Xcode seamlessly integrates with Apple ecosystem. As a result developing apps, especially for iOS and macOS is very smooth. For macOS I can leverage native macOS environment while for iOS I can easily switch between supported iOS versions and devices. Plus it's all totally free! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Any development for non-Apple hardward is still a challenge unfortunately. If Apple starts supporting wider ecosystem I might make Xcode my daily driver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Xcode supports Swift language which is one of the powerful coding language and also gives the support to frameworks like UIkit and Swift UI with ample amount of tools to debug even the memory leakage issues, which helps you out to write clean and efficient code and to make out the best out of the application with quality performance. The Xcode platform specifically targeted Mac OS for mobile application development there are a numerous users using other operating systems like windows and Linux, soo xcode should provide a way to let access their software on other OS as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
