APN interface, I think it's easy to navigate and its make sense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike AQ Rules. I don't understand why I'm not able to simply upload a list of blocked URLs or brands. It's very time-consuming that I have to do all that work manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

AppNexus offers tons of options for detail campaign management. There are many options for manual optimisations and reporting, giving you strong control over your activities. The system is very flexible and intended to be build upon or used in conjunction with other services and providers, either those who have app on AppNexus or completely external via integration, that multiplies the options I mentioned before even more. The platform is quite complex and some features require relatively high understanding of underlying concept. This is difficult to grasp when you're new to RTB and DSP world. Certain principles seem to oppose each other in the first view which is usually due to lack of clarity on how these work together.
You are expected to read all the instructions in the wiki, but that is often not specific enough and in that instance you need to talk to support which is usually a painful, long chain of emails where you explain your questions. It would be better if you could talk to skilled technical manager at that point, but AppNexus doesn't provide such service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

AppNexus has an enormity of features that aren't available on other DSPs, and is constantly updating its product with more and more exciting new features. Whenever I get the chance to read more into the Wiki I constantly am learning new hacks to bring to the business. It also has an easily integrable API so as a ad tech company it is very easy for us to integrate and target our own data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The usability and design of the UI is no means bad, but could be improved somewhat so that bulk changes are easier to manage. The support system can sometimes be slow and delayed - customer service could be improved also. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The sheer size of AppNexus is something to marvel at. They have one of the largest pools of display inventory in all of ad tech. If/when they decide to dabble in video (specifically in-banner with syndicated content) - they could become a goliath of a money making operation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To a novice / inexperienced user, AppNexus can easily be a bit overwhelming. There are literally thousands of levers and buttons to push and pull - which is even intimidating to me. On the flip side, this is also a strength, because you can be super granular with your wants, needs, and targeting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best client services ever! I love the way they are always answering questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No video inventory available for Italy, and really difficult optimization for direct campaign Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You will never have problems getting delivery and can run sensitive ads (gambling, pharmaceutical, etc) pretty easily. Their expedited creative audit option has saved me a few times with last minute launches. Cloning of line items and campaigns makes setup quick! The creative folder functionality aides setup. Usually see high CTRs on ANX and their spend caps are usually pretty accurate. Access to FBX inventory and the ability to target or untarget specific inventory sources is very useful. 1. lack of quality inventory (seems like everyone/anyone can join the exchange without stringent approval processes)
2. expedited creative audit is too expensive!! $25/each can add up quickly when you have like 50+ tags for a campaign
3. ASAP delivery function is really fast
4. ability to piggyback pixels, search for segments, etc
5. ability to send tickets for issues via the Console
6. customer service has been less than stellar compared to other partners we work with
7. reporting in the UI is 4+ hours behind (makes it difficult to monitor performance in real time) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
App Nexus is very easy to use and has a great customer service. When there is any problem, just submit a ticket and you will receive an email from one of the representatives right a way. Another great thing about App Nexus is that they are always improving and finding new ways to help the advertisers optimize. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
App Nexus' mobile options are very limited. When pulling a report for mobile application, I have to say, it is too vague and does not give that much information. Another problem is the bots. There are always bots online and it is hard to avoid all of them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The UI is really efficient and built out really well for fast tag trafficking, integrated with evidon, ability to scale/ large traffic reach. The tiers (advertiser, line item, campaign, creatives folders) all flow really well and really intuitive. Ability to bulk edit creatives and line/campaign level is really helpful and "duplicate/copy" feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The platform loads really slow. Performance and be poor and there's a lack of auto optimization tools for basic KPIs like CTR Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Various ways to optimize campaigns
- Usually user friendly
- Even though I prefer to speak with someone on the phone most of the time, they usually are pretty quick in email response
- Bulk edit / upload is pretty decent
- Pacing is easy to manage
- Usually everything paces accordingly
- Reporting is very granular Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Customer service is not that good.
- When they launch beta products they usually do not work at all or very poorly. Sometimes I feel like they should wait a bit before launching.
- Would like to be able to do more bulk editing with creative
- Would like to do video within AppNexus Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best attribute of AppNexus for Advertisers is the streamlined campaign management setup process. Over the years the UI has been tweaked several times and now it is easier than ever to traffic tags, create pixels and create your campaign structure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the platform can be slow, reporting should be more robust and inventory quality seems to have declined over the years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
