Since I have been using WordPress, there are a lot of things that I like about the software but I love the SEO aspect more.

My articles tends to rank better on the platform and creating content gets more easier with the content formatting tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

I only get annoyed when I loose file's during upgrades of plugins and themes.

But I was able to handle things and fix the crashing issue.

Each time there is an update, I create backups and proceed so I don't loose files easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?

My business goal with WordPress is to create value and capture value.

I create value by writing useful content that an organization, individual or firm needs to grow their blog base and also ways they can fix webmaster issues.

I extract value via sponsored contents, contextual ads, and affiliate commission there by making money to buy hosting upgrade and necessary tools to power the blog.

What do you like best about WordPress.org?

So, I am using this platform since 2017. My first startup was Heapooh and it was all about blogs. It is easy to use as I could just upload a Soledad theme and be done with it and just customize it to my taste.

I like that we can integrate not just php, but node.js and combine other JS technologies rather than just be stuck with Wordpress plugins. In fact, I used chatgpt to create some plugins and they worked well for my Wordpress.

I have three sites like now and it is all Wordpress. It integrates well with wozcommerce if you want to sell and have some cool integrations for mail services and payment systems like square and stripe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

It is too heavy. I have a dedicated cloud server and it still feels slower than Wix and shopify. Also, lately the free part is missing and most plugins have useful features that are paid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?

1) You can upload themes and you do not need to design on your own.

I personally use Soledad and Newspaper theme. It is on 12.7 version now.

I can use some other builders like Elementor and Gutenberg which is great.

2) Rank Math and Yoast SEO are great to rank organically. I like Rank Math better.

3) Rocket Loader might give a boost to the site.

4) Easy cloud flare integration is a must mention.

5) Easy to integrate this thing with wozcommerce and include mailing services and stripe payment gateway.

6) No more coding and actual work done and require less then a day to setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about WordPress.org?

WordPress is a great tool to build your websites. it took a while to understand how it works along with installed plug-ins and woocommerce. There many page builders to make it even better, especially for the clients so they have ful control of their website. There are tons of plug ins and themes on the market to get your website up and running fast without complicated coding and easily integrated and implemented. All my clients use Divi and Elementor page builders. they are easy to use once you get around it. There are tons of tutorials and great support from Divi folks and my pressable wordpress host. We use wordpress weekly and the more you use, the more comfortable you'll get. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

WordPress lacks full support, especially where there are trouble some plug ins involved, they tend to blame one another instead of working together to solve the conflict. So in this case you hire a second set of eyes developer to troubleshoot. It's a very strong community support, but there is almost no official one customer support.

WordPress requires constant monitoring and updates to plug ins and themes due to WordPress, theme, PhP updates.

Some parts do require complicated coding for full compatibility and site security and speed. Visual builders can sometimes be very slow to update pages.

You have to spend time to research what plug ins are good and are updated frequently that work well with your site without conflicts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?

Saves alot of time building complicated coding websites, and allows clients to make updates to existing wireframe without the need to contact me, I am there for backup and complicated support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- Huge themes selection. You can choose free or paid themes, if you need you can create new one. Wordpress library contains hundreds of ready themes for different site types, also there is several major big platforms where you can buy paid ones. We used both Free and Paid variants, it depends on a client

- Flexibility. You can make company website, blog, even shop with right theme and right plugins, we primarily did landings for ads and several e-commerce projects

- Plugins. You can expand everything in this CMS and integrate different services and external APIs. Create e-commerce shops, complete custom designs with constructors, dynamic forms, custom scripts, etc.

- Huge community. Wordpress has a very strong community with a tons of advices, instructions and solutions. Wordpress forum solved a lot of times different problems with plugins and themes

- We use Wordpress as our daily driver on our website and our client ones Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

- Built-it visual constructor is not very great, you will definitely try to search for an more simple and powerful alternative

- There were situations when you need to install plugin for small little function and with time on our several client projects this plugins collection becomes a real mess, when you use only small percentage of functions of installed plugins

- It's very strong community support, but there is almost no official one customer support Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering WordPress.org:

It's a free CMS so you definitely should try if it meets your needs for the project, Wordpress without plugins is very limited, but with them you can definitely expand functionality for almost every project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about WordPress.org?

The best thing WP can offer is open source, followed by total customization and control. You'll have access to many interesting plugins where you can manage your site with total freedom. The best thing is that they have a huge community of developers, which reduces costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

From my opinion there are some weaknesses that I can list: security issues, performance if you're not able to optimize the product and too much dependence on third-party plugins. This can cause problems for smaller products without much technological infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?

Managing and working on large-scale content with dozens of writers is easier with WP, not to mention that the vast majority of journalists are used to the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about WordPress.org?

WordPress does blogs well; it is cost-effective and relatively user-friendly. Agencies have built automation to instantly build a basic website for their clients with little to no effort, and advanced users, such as the Canadian Grand Prix of Formula 1, have made highly customized websites that look good. It's easy to integrate other software such as Givecloud, Keela, Mailchimp or other products that allow you to embed code into different websites and Wordpress supports the Head code and page code necessary for each. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

WordPress requires constant monitoring for plugin updates and compatibility and is much harder to design than other options. I've used WordPress frequently, and it is usually more time-consuming to do an identical task than in other builders. This is not necessarily Wordpress's fault but the Plugin or Builder that is being nailed onto Wordpress after the fact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?

Provides a website for clients to host content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about WordPress.org?

What I love about WordPress.org is the freedom it gives you. You can customize just about anything—whether it’s the design, features, or functionality. Plus, you actually own your site, which is a huge bonus compared to other platforms. There’s also a massive community and tons of resources, so it’s easy to find help or learn as you go! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

What I don’t love about WordPress.org is that it can be a bit overwhelming, especially if you’re not super tech-savvy. You have to handle things like hosting, security, and updates on your own, which can feel like a lot. And if you want to customize your site beyond the basics, you might need to know some coding or hire a developer, which can get expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?

WordPress.org solves the problem of flexibility and control. It lets me build exactly the kind of website I need without being locked into a specific platform’s limitations. I can customize everything—design, features, functionality—and actually own my site. That freedom has been a huge benefit, especially as my needs grow or change over time.
