The ease of use and the ability for us to have our application teams get just the information they needed was why we selected the product. Getting vulnerabilites and misconfigurations to the our applications teams and holding them accountable gives us a very strong cloud security posture - much stronger than our on premise security posture.
We were an early customer of Wiz and they have been very responsive to making improvements based on our feedback. The product has changed considerably and now has more features than we need, instead of not enough. We pay Wiz to be smarter than we are about secure configurations and they have been. The licensing is the first grump but only in that I wish it were less, not that it is excessively pricey. It is competitive with MS Sentinel but I wish it were 1/2 the cost. It's a lot easier to argue against native tools when it is cheaper. Their realtime linux agent isn't near cost competitive for so we can't even consider it.
Wiz does not support on-premise data centers and it would greatly simplify our lives if it did. Everyone at our company prefers our cloud vulnerability and misconfiguration system over our on-premise system by a wide margin.
Every tool that I've seen in this space that attempts to point out overly privileged accounts generates a high noise to signal ratio in a complex environment such as ours. We turn the Wiz IAM rules off to avoid the chatter. If you need a program to manage your identity security and you have a sophisticated environment, I would suggest you look for a sophisticate dedicated IAM tool. We had a very smooth experience and easy implementation process, starting from the initial contact up, through understanding our needs, up to configuring the services to adress exactly the specific needs that we had. It integrated flawlessly with our tech stack. We use the services every day. Fully recommend! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We had a really good experience and are a happy customer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Using Wiz you can focus on the most important vulnerabilities, those that are exposed to Internet and have an exploit in the wild. And you can do that with only few clicks using Graph Explorer.
With Graph Explorer you can see the all your Cloud assets and their relationship. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You can't see the firewall rules defined in your Cloud applied on the Graph Explorer. You only see if the network routing is possible. And I have to check if the WAF's policies is now visible. When you have a vulnerability in a Pod and if the Pod is exposed to Interneet through a Load Balancer, the Dynamic Scanner shloud be able to check if that vulnerability is mitigated by a WAF policy. Wiz has been a game-changer for our hospital's cloud security strategy. Its comprehensive visibility, real-time alerting capabilities, and user-friendly interface have markedly improved our ability to secure our cloud infrastructure. The transition from our previous Prisma solution was smooth, and the ongoing enhancements, such as the ServiceNow integration, continue to add value. I highly recommend Wiz to organizations looking to streamline their cloud security operations without sacrificing depth or quality in their monitoring and response processes. At this current moment, It's hard to think of anything that Wiz needed to improve on. It has everything we need to monitor and investigate our cloud infrastructure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Features that I like are:
You can view all security and vulnerabilities on a single or create views with a subset of devices and grant access to specific devices based on role or department.
I love how each detection or issue provides visual representation of the attack path, full write up of what the vulnerability is and methods for remediation.
I love the online community and all the information it provides.
Setup was very simple and quick.
Our entire systems team has really grown to love the platform, making use of it daily.
Ultimately, the tool has left our cloud environment in a more secure place than when we started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I feel that any automated remediation is still in its infancy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It does exactly what it promises to do. Simple and agentless to set up and integrate, zero operational impact when using it, amazing metrics out of the box and all issues found are explained well and concisly, allowing any secureity team member to use the info effectively. Also, it is continually being improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Amazingly, I've had no negative experiences about the product or the service. It just works. If I had to dig deep to find something, I'd say that there is lot to navigate to in the portal, however, this just means there is something for everyone on the security team in there - from 50,000 foot view metrics to the nitty gritty details. Wiz is a great choice for organizations looking to enhance their cloud security posture with minimal disruption. Its agentless design, actionable insights, and integration capabilities make it a standout platform in the crowded cloud security space.
What I liked the most:
- Ease of Deployment for AWS, GitLab, K8s
- Realtime sensors
- Proactive risk prioritization
- CI/CD scanner
- Frequent release of new features
- Flexible license policy
- Very quick and responsive support Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A bit of inflexibility in licensing. It's not possible to use underused workload licenses for the Wiz Code, but it's all according to the T&C. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Very clean UI
- Impressive functionality and detailed functions, you always find a new way to tackle problems
- No alert fatigue due to the very good contextualization
- Fast and supportive support team
- Onboarding was the smoothest process I have ever experienced with a provider
- Engineers who work with Wiz love it, which is not usual for a security tool, I would say Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Sometimes you are overwhelmed by the many ways to tackle issues
- A few teething problems in some areas, but really negligible Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Having used many other CSPM and CNAPP tools, I've found Wiz to be by far the best. It is incredibly easy to use and provides a great amount of detail - we have teams using Wiz just to understand our environments better, regardless of the security findings (which are also incredibly rich). I'm in the tool daily, for all manner of reasons - inventory, security findings, end of life technologies, compliance reporting, absolutely all sorts.
Implementation was a breeze, including integrations with Jira which we use for ticketing - unlike many of the competitors the integration is way more developed so we can get issues to our teams much quicker and in a reliable way.
Customer support has been fantastic, with dedicated resource as well as an easy to use support portal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It does feel like Wiz has expanded very quickly so it sometimes feels like parts are a little disjointed. The querying is very powerful but sometimes when you have results in a table there are quality of life items missing - for example you can only sort by specific fields, even though you have many columns available.
They have also been changing the licensing model recently which has been quite disappointing - previously as an Advanced customer we had access to everything, but now there are a number of add-ons. Even more disappointingly, this wasn't for new features but some features were taken from our license and added to an add-on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Wiz gave us a single pane of glass for cloud security .
This agentless and mostly hassle-free onboarding presented us a impressive cloud scanning and instant visibility.
We undeerstood along the way with Wiz platform that In cloud security, not every alert is an actual issue, and being able to tune out low/none-risk findings without losing visibility is priceless.
This is where we stopped chasing shadows and start fixing real vulnerabilities
Wiz allow us to beef up on code security, runtime scanning and live alerting all consdlidated to a single platform
at last their docuemtnation is amazing, all the menus and views and settings are explained from top to bottom which allow us to be self paced in learning how to use the platform best Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
not such a drawback but a scope of work not fully present in the begininng
wiz is a high velocity evolving product, constantnly changes fixes and new add ons/features
requries us to keep track all the time on their release notes updates just to understand what changed or should have fixed Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that the product goes deeper into insights, our company used Prisma Cloud before switching to WIZ and the level of detail we got out of WIZ verse Prisma was significantly greater. We also can set policies we follow, along with custom compliance policies. Also, the ability to be able to deploy to all our environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike about WIZ is the fact that you can’t dismiss an alert if it is a false positive, you can only ignore it. I also don’t like they keep building out these cool products and putting them in preview mode for everyone then come back and charge an arm and a leg for it. Our company sets budgets for the year so having to try and justify why we need to add an additional license has made us say no to certain parts of their new licensing model.
