UX is not consistent throughout the experience.... foir example type styling and theme management. They appear in different manner, and with different options (i.e. sometimes you can modify font weight or size, but sometimes you can only use pre-exiting styles).

Also, the canned animations sometimes miss important properties (for example, the ability to change a logo on a moving top menu (important, as menu can shift from transparent to solid color and logo needs to turn negative, or be smaller).

Another pet peeve is the limited site versioning, and the confusing internal staging, the inability for an agency to duplicate sites for a customer, an a few other UX incositencies throughout.

Despite offering a pretty robust user management dashborad, they should also shift to collaborative design (like Webflow, Figma, and others) where you can leave comments on parts of the site to other editiors and designers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've designed about two dozen websites for clients using Wix. Very easy to use. Templates are excellent. New features are cutting edge. Customer service is a bit more difficult to reach, but once you've got them, they are top-notch. Shop app is more than adequate. Follow up features and automations are more than adequate. Sometimes I want to do something a little tricky so I have to use YouTube to find someone who can show me how, but that's not really a huge issue.
