Reporting options and ability to save/automate reports are helpful, but some of the functionality options are not intuitive or lack the options our company requires Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Poor communication between ecomm & fulfillment - one was not aware we were customers of the other/both Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Wine Direct allows users to manage tasting room POS and wine club as well as inventory easily. The program also creates excellent financial and managerial reports. Shipping is integrated and tracking numbers are automatically imported into the software. Sales associates are available to meet to demo the product and support is available to help anytime. Financial reports could have more customization options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Integration with my POS is a snap. The fulfillment web portal is very intuitive and easy to use. But it's mostly the fulfillment team that makes Wine Direct the best fulfillment company I've worked with. They are accurate, detail-oriented and truly go the extra mile to ensure my shipments get to my customers in a timely fashion and in good condition. I feel like they really care about my business. The only thing I don't like about Wine Direct is the fact that I get multiple email invoices from them every month, sometimes every week. It would be much easier if I got one or two monthly invoices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We truly feel that a whole team is helping us plan and present our product in the best light possible. From the beginning the advice and help has been great for a small team like us all while running an existing system and a startup winery. We searched for six months, reviewing two dozen systems both Spirit/food orientated as well as other industries. Kathleen Henry was instrumental in answering our questions and giving us room to breath, with out her honesty and guidance we would not have chosen Wine Direct. Monica Smith has coached us, proded us, given a lot of love and time, put up with our questionable internet service and we are enormously thankful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not like the inability for the system to tie in with PayPal. It would be way easier for us. Also the current financial system POS does not have a current chip reader which really scares us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The database is extensive and can typically find what you are looing for Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
the navigation is not very intuitive and doesn't match the features of competitor apps Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simple and useful CMS for presenting products and other content. Logical, tab-based flow for processing phone orders. Good basic CRM for customer contact info and order history, with remarketing email features. Good reporting features for sales Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As the platform (now WineDirect) has rightfully chosen to focus on the essentials during its rapid expansion of users, some bits are still rough around the edges - an image upload window pops up in a default size that doesn't show all navigation buttons; the home dashboard shows that you have x products with end dates that have passed but doesn't allow you to view a list of those products; you can't quickly clone products. Remarketing emails are simple to format but not especially flexible. No deep flaws, but little drags on workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Pros to this platform include photo navigation as well as the ability to have multiple "stores" in the drop down at the top, e.g. products are grouped by the glass, bottle, our in-store retail area, misc, etc. The photo navigation is helpful if you are a visual person. I don't find Vin65 intuitive if you are coming from a bar/restaurant background. It is overly difficult to split tenders. There are things like updating cc info that require us to go into the back end (particularly when it comes to club memberships). A very irritating and recurring issue is the inability to discount one item if the same product is on an order more than once e.g. if a person orders three of the same bottle and they are only supposed to get a discount on one you have to manually adjust the price because it automatically lumps all three together. The ability to track all aspects of wine club history and order delivery or pick-up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface is clunky and it takes too many clicks to accomplish a simple task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is wine specific, so it helps us with shipping rules and has fields set up ready to fill for vintages and reviews Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So many glitches, quirks, downright failures.
And after all of the time and energy we've spent on this, it feels like we're hostages. We have to find a workaround, daily, for new problems, so we don't have to start from scratch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
