Weavy Overview

What is Weavy?

Next-generation building blocks for developers. Weavy is a complete toolkit for developers to add collaboration, productivity, and community features to web and mobile apps at a fraction of the cost and time. Our API, SDKs, and UI Kits for Chat, Files, and Feeds enable dev teams to increase functionality and connect users while focusing on your core product. All Weavy features include integrations to the third-party tools your users are already familiar with: add capabilities for Zoom and Teams video conferencing, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, or Box file sharing, document sync, and versioning contextually inside your app. Weavy allows app developers to quickly add the features that users need to be productive and interactive directly within their app. With our API, SDKs, and UI kits, you can deploy chat, feeds, and file features in a matter of days, not months, and at a fraction of the cost of building in-house. Focus on your core product while adding functionality that improves your user experience and increases user engagement and dependency on your app.

What do you like best about Weavy?

Weavy is super easy to use from the get go. We needed the ability to add a chat function to our app, and were able to leverage Weavy to complete this quickly. This was a huge departure from the experience we had previously had with Sendbird, and because utilizing Weavy was so simple, the product team was able to focus on other core features that required attention. With only a bit of work, we were able to customize the chat the way we needed to, and when we needed assistance, we had a very responsive support team. The Zoom integration to send meeting links in the chat is especially great, and has simplified our process greatly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Weavy?

Though easy to implement, the documentation is sometimes lacking and the customization we needed did require understanding of CSS. Having expanded documentation would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Weavy solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our app was lacking a chat function for our customers, but we didn't have the time or resources to devote a huge chunk of time to be able to handle without another resource. Weavy helped us get the chat implemented quickly, and we've had many customers comment on their happiness not only that the chat funciton exists now, but that it is also seamlessly integrated into our site. What do you like best about Weavy?

We needed to add social features to our internal apps - some home built and some standard - and it was very easy to add the Weavy features across our apps, allowing us to have a unified way of sharing, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Weavy?

There are some missing pieces in the documentation to get it up and running on our own - we were using the JS Ui kit - but the team helped us out, so we still got it in place very fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Weavy solving and how is that benefiting you?

We need to add a way to communicate across our internal apps without context switching, and thanks to Weavy, we could add chat and feeds to all the apps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Weavy?

It's swift and easy for us to add to our client projects whenever we need it - usually, we have several running parallel projects - and thanks to its ease, it doesn't require much work for each one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Weavy?

Not much right now - it fits our need, but we would like more customization options in their JS UI kit - not really a way, right now at lease, to add or remove elements easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Weavy solving and how is that benefiting you?

From time to time, in our projects, we need to add social and community features - and instead of building them from scratch over and over again, we can just add the features from Weavy and save a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Weavy?

When we got a request to add the chat functionality into our product we analyzed different solutions and found that the Weavy is the best to cover all our scenarios. From the box we got ability to install backend on IIS and used a chat Drop-in UI in mobile and desktop clients. It's really minimized our efforts to get the full-featured chat in the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Weavy?

It would be good to have more detailed documentation about API endpoints. There is a Swagger documentation but in some cases the parameters format is not clear. Anyway when we had some questions the Weavy support provided quick and good response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Weavy solving and how is that benefiting you?

We needed to add a chat functionality into the product. It had to work as on mobile as on desktop clients. So the Weavy solution allowed us to get necessary functionality in a short period of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Andy Heriaud of Weavy

Thanks for your feedback! Our team has taken it into account and have provided additional documentation about our API endpoints.
