Vyond offers a wide range of templates, character customization options, and camera movement adjustments. It’s fun to use, and the final videos can be easily shared via a link or downloaded for integration into e-learning courses. The Vyond team also provides one-on-one support sessions. The tool consumes a lot of memory to run, and on my average laptop, longer videos tend to lag. While creating videos is still possible, the buffering slows down the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love Vyond's intuitive interface and extensive library of customizable templates and characters. It makes creating high-quality animations quick and easy, even for someone with no prior animation experience. I also love the bulit in translation tools that cut down on development time and money invested in other translation tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some advanced features have a learning curve, which might require some time to master. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I appreciate how easy it is to create a video, especially if you need some created with a short turnaround time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish the stylized character videos in the Contemporary style had more options for customization/ actions. The Business Friendly is very fleshed out in terms of options, but it doesn't look as nice as Contemporary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This is a great tool to create animated videos for learning and development professionals. Love that we can customize characters for stories. Love that the editing is very easy to learn and yet allows us to edit the smallest things. The new AI capabilities are a good way to get started on a new video; however, I still start from scratch for most of my videos for training. I like that I can add background music and turn down the volume settings for when a charactor (or narrator) is talking. The AI voices (text to voice) are continuing to get better and better. Some of the AI voices are awesome and sound like real people. Some of them don't. I also love the "add camera" features that keep the motion going. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A bit pricy if you don't use it a lot. Make sure you're going to use it a lot before buying. We use this very often to add interesting stories and explainer videos to go into our eLearning. If you don't have the Enterprise version, which we do not, it doesn't give you WellSaidLabs with your subscription. We looked into getting that feature, but found out if you get it, it still doesn't give you all the editing capabilities for the AI voices that WellSaidLabs has as a standalone product. So, we decided not to get the Enterprise version because of that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I so enjoy working with Vyond! I don't think I am very creative, but Vyond spurs my creativity and I have so much fun creating learning videos with Vyond that I regularly work 2-3 hours beyond the end of my day because I am on a roll and love the output. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The downsides for me are that it is less intuitive than I would like. It took me quite awhile to get the hang of it at first and I still sometimes have a hard time figuring some things out that I would think would be easy. However, the Vyond team is happy to schedule 1:1 times to assist. Plus their continuous webinars help me learn their product better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have been using Vyond for several years and have been impressed with the updates including added backgrounds, body types, and the AI features. I use it for various types of content - to create a brief explanatory video that I post in a leadership group to introduce a skill focus, to walk through scnearios that are embedded in training courses that range from health and safety, ethics, and how to conduct field investigations. The illustrations are polished a professional and are helpful to discuss serious matters where you do not want to record real people (ie. talking about an incident). We frequently use the character creator to create an employee's likeness - our finance group explaining how we make money in a monthly series - it is close enough so that people can make the connection, but far enough that if someone were to leave, there are no major issues with the character remaning. I am an adjunct professor at a local university and Vyond is one of the tools we cover as an authoring tool option - it is always a big hit! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would love to be able to change the color of clothing items and have the ability to add logo badges/patches on clothing. I would love to be able to work with someone in sales etc. to provide longer trial periods and publishing abilities to students. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As an educator, the visual aspect of any videos I use has to be customizable to help emphasize the points I'm trying to help people understand and retain. Stock footage or canned boilerplate just won't do it. Vyond finds the sweet spot of ease and efficiency of use with the ability to change and customize any aspect of the video that I need. I've made my last 20 or so videos completely inside of Vyond's platform, and I expect I'll keep using this for a long time.
The one great feature I'm using more and more is the ever-expanding template library. This offers artifacts, thematic groups, and other unique items that are easy to integrate into other projects either as a whole or in pieces. The fact that they keep adding new templates in a range of different styles means its easier to be more creative as well instead of falling back on the same comfortable features.
Overall, I'm thrilled to have found Vyond, and it's become my go to tool for most video creation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Vyond does have a small learning curve, but it's nothing compared to Adobe After Effects or other animation software I've used. Also, the new AI item creation options are more of a promise of things to come than something really reliable yet. Of all the times I've tried to make something, I think I only ended up using the AI generated artifact once. I think that has more to do with the state of AI generated images right now than Vyond, but it's good to see them thinking ahead to implementing it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that Vyond is always working on new updates to their features and shares those updates in a user-friendly way through their Product Releases timeline. When I've been away from the platform for a while and come back, I appreciate the pop up message that tells me there are new releases and directs me to where I can learn more about them if I want. I very much get the sense that Vyond is trying to stay at the forefront of video creation advances. I especially love the new screen recording feature which may allow my team to eliminate another application we pay for to create those types of videos for the training materials we develop. One area in which I think Vyond can continue to make improvements is with their captioning feature. I wish you could see the captioning in a track beneath the audio tracks rather than just off to the side in their own pop out panel. It would be nice to be able to break the captions into smaller chunks so that it's a more appropriate length. Plus, this would allow the user to more easily modify when the captions enter and exit the screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What is great about Vyond is that the "people assests" are diverse. In some of the other product I looked at you had some standard caucasian avatar / characters. With Vyond you can create characters that can appeal to your whole audience. Which is why I use it practically daily. Being SaaS aslo means I'm not tied to a single work computer. It may sound small but having to use CRTL-V only (not right-click) is annoying. If I can copy using right-click I should be able to right-click to paste.
Organizing my videos. Would really like a file explorer experience with the ability to drag an drop Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use Vyond as a Learning Experience Designer. It's really easy for me to put together animations showing examples of employees working. I make a lot of warehouse job and safety training, and the customization of characters helps me to represent employees without the need to get on site and capture content. My favorite part of Vyond is the ability to create gifs, which I can insert into other learning materials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In my opinion, Vyond should have a more robust video editor. I find myself using other software to crop, edit, and mute videos that I then upload to Vyond. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
