We have a very broad range of Volunteering opportunities and Better Impact has all of the features and options to cater to the different needs. The system can do very nearly anything we ask of it and we ask a lot! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The software is a little unintuitive to use. It feels like features have been added in as requested and figuring out how to get the system to do what you're asking can be cumbersome at times.

I've used Better Impact for more than a decade. It is user-friendly and allows us to to monitor applicants through the process of becoming volunteers every step of the way. Scheduling, communications, reports and even a document library. It's all there for one annual subscription. With each update there are more features to help with your volunteer program. Many of these features are ala carte with other vendors, and included with Better Impact package. There is really nothing I dislike about the database. Major updates to the system have occurred a few times over the years which cause you to relearn the software. While in the end, it's always an BIG improvement. Like any other software, it takes time to relearn how to use it. It's can be challenging at first, but once you get the hand of it, it is smooth sailing and you get to use all the new features. It's hard to answer as there are many aspects that are great about Better Impact. One of the initial things was the help we received from the staff; they have always been so quick to reply and incredibly helpful and knowledgable. I love that they help me to understand where I've gone wrong and encourage me to make the necessary changes, which means I'm equipped with the knowledge and can do it on my own in the future. When you click the tabs at the top, I would prefer it if it changed the whole page, not just the menu at the side, as it often feels like you're still on the same page. This can be confusing and also it isn't always easy to see all the options in the side menu. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Better Impact is by far a one-stop-shop for volunteer managers and non-profits. It is a database and learning management system all in once! The reports are detailed and once accustomed to the software, the sky's the limit! Their feedback features is amazing to collect data that really matters - the work the volunteers are doing - so that reports mean so much more than numbers, they mean impact! There is some manual work necessary with the reminder options, but still better than other systems out there. They are constantly adding new features and updating their software. There's always something new to learn and explore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We absolutely love how easy it is to customize. We create fields for needed data in order to create reports for everything we need. We also love how easy it is to use both for our staff and our volunteers! There are many ways we use Better Impact to support our 1000+ volunteers. It gives us both flexibility and control. I recommend Better Impact to every volunteer program administrator that I know. I even offer to coach them for free because I know how much time it will save them. The customer service is amazing. Quick, helpful, answers questions, and if they don't understand my question they keep asking. They don't stop until there is a resolution or answer. The system is flexible and can be used in different ways depending on the needs of the organization. There are roles that volunteers have to do training before signing up and this "filters" volunteers based on the learning modules (which are great to have) completed by volunteers. There is not much to dislike. They give a way for me to share anything that I would like to have in future updates. They update the system from suggestions from users. So it is practical and helpful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Volunteer Impact system tracks everything we use to manage the program. My favorite features are: 1- Volunteers On the Clock – I can tell who is here at any given time and what they are doing. I’m a visual person so having their names and photos easily available helps me to remember who everyone is. 2- Volunteer Portals- volunteers can track their information, sign up for activities, answer customized onboarding questions and upload important documents like photo releases, and track their hours. 3- Reporting functionality- being able to track all this data about our volunteers helps me to make impact reports to share with members and donors and generate excitement at this wonderful program at our organization. Better Impact is a very easy program to use for operators at all levels. The rostering and reporting system is just excellent. Nothing I have used compares to BI. Better Impact is the best third-party software I have ever used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Every year I am asked to create reports for all of our BI organisations. The reports need to include gender specific stats for all orgs and this can be difficult to develop a report for. It would be great to have an all over report that captures this and deletes duplicates as some vollies volunteers with other internal orgs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
