The best thing is we do not have to purchase and configure 25 computers in the office. We intend to phase out physical workstations, pool up the resources in a server and go completely VDI's in the office for all our on-site and remote users.

Vmware Horizon can help with the efficient use of CPU and GPU and distributing it as needed to power users in the office. We currently over-provision hardware for every workstation which does not get used to its full potential every time, thus wasting money and having a longer ROI. Have a small mess with different monitoring solutions/approaches from the vendor (monitoring pack in VMware vRealize Operations Manager and standalone OEM solution named VMware Advanced Monitoring for Horizon Powered by ControlUp company) , but this is not a huge problem. The only thing I dislike about VMWare is the inability to remember certain customizations you make such as internet favorites or having to repeatedly map network drives because they don't carry over from your profile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Peace of mind that our desktops are destroyed after each use and desktops can be microsegmented from the rest of the network while in use. Scalability for remote users is also great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are more issues with virtual desktops than there are with our physical desktops. There are many components required to have a successful Horizon experience. App Volumes, DEM, NVIDIA card in the Hosts, VSAN, NSX for Microsegmentation. An issue with any of these components can lead to unavailable desktops. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This VDI supports a lot of features and act as a pool for the virtual machines but I had face reloading and connection issues after connection loss and as it is not free that would one thing that I would take into consideration as something that I would not like.
