I bought modeler edition in 2007 for $50, upgraded to version 12 in 2014 for another $50, and still using it today. This contains all my modeling needs and it even produces documentation. It understands how to draw all the UML and business process diagrams I use allows me to customize (if necessary), and even performs a decent amount of model checking to let me know where I may have inconsistencies in the model.

I don't like the button menu UI that was introduced in version 12, but the tool can be reverted to the classic menu, so no problem.

Some problems occur when connecting lines to shapes. I still haven't figured out if the diagram settings cause lines to connect to the wrong location or if it is due to a bug.
