The Verkada camera system has been a great fit for the Morris Thompson Cultural and Visitors Center. With both indoor and outdoor cameras, we get clear, reliable coverage of key areas. It’s easy to use, with cloud access that lets us check footage anytime, from anywhere. The motion alerts are helpful, and sharing clips is simple. Overall, it’s made our space feel safer and more secure and when we need assistance, the customer service is exceptional. Our downsides would be related to having to rely on internet in an area where internet can be spotty and the costs of the annual license. The cost is not unreasonable, the costs do give access to reliable and helpful service, but as a small non-profit, we look at every dollar spent, and this is worth or while, but we do wince when paying the bill. We may be a smaller company than other Verkada customers but I feel that there are so many ways to integrate with your system and continually grow with your product line. I’ve had two issues that I can think of off the top of my head. One being that ‘tailgating’ is found even if the users coming thru the door both scan their badge. Two being the “unknown user” when scanning a badge from a wallet. There has to be a way to adjust this. I love the quality of the camera footage with Verkada. You can zoom in and still have a high level of detail without it getting distorted or fuzzy. The initial install of the camera was straightforward, and the setup and login for viewing was easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The biggest downside is that it takes an enormous toll on our bandwidth over the network. I would almost recommend putting the cameras on a separate network so that it doesn't slow down daily operations on your main network. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Verkada has been excellent at listening to our feedback and requests, giving us the opportunity to collaborate with their teams to develop or test new solutions tailored to our specific needs, especially when a product isn't already available in their portfolio. The Command Dashboard has also significantly improved the end user experience, making it much easier and more efficient to review footage and events without the need for a thick client. The Command Center is very easy to user and configure. All modules work together in a single pane of glass. Verkada support is 24/7 assistance. The 10 yr hardware warranty is great value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The licensing costs are very high, for a non-profit organization. Licesnsing makes it hard to budget for implementing Verkada when certain programs can't swallow a yearly license fee going forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The full ecosystem of products and functionality work incredibly well together. Still some separation in the admin experience but it’s getting better. They are pushing forward with new products and better functionality and a good pace. The support services and warranty support are second to none. Our internal teams love the ease of use, quality of the product and continue to find more uses to support and improve our manufacturing operations.
