Easy to setup actionable alerts. As a company using data and ML to provide value to our customers, it's critital that we get notified and can act fast on any quality issues happening to the data we get from our customers. With Validio it was easy to setup validations based on dimensions in the data such as integartion type, making it easy to take action on alerts when they come. We have pretty specific requirements for reporting, so being able to modify the out-of-the-box reporting even more would be nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very easy to set up a 'standard' set of validation programatically for any new dataset that we bring into our platform
Super knowledgable and helpful support. Validio understands our business and how their platform can help us achieve what we nned
Highly performant – the ML thresholds can provide accurate monitoring on very high volumes of data" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Would have been nice with more customizability when it comes to filtering segments used for validations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The product is extremely effective at what it sets out to do with respect to identify and alerting upon anomalous data. While the lineage and RCA capabilities are still being developed and are not perfect, they are still extremely useful at helping identify data quality issues.
The Validio team is extremely hard-working and intelligent, which is reflected in their customer success teams' abilities to tailor examples to specific use-cases. We would not be nearly as far along in our data quality initiative without the support of the team.
The user interface is fairly easy to use -- it takes seconds to get a validator set up and running.
Validio integrates with Slack and other downstream BI tools to give a holistic view of where poor data quality may impact the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The complexity of implementation is highly correlated with the complexity of the business's data, which can make it challenging to implement effectively for those specific use cases.
The user interface can be unwieldy when making more complicated validators. It could benefit from tooltips and inline documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the whole workflow with the platform. Catalogue and Lineage to be able to see where the data comes from for our more important reports.
Data quality & Obeservability where we can do in-depth monitoring to catch any inconsistencies, deviations or other errors in the data we've identified as important.
I was also impressed by the system performance. We have quite large data sets. Despite that, Validio is able to do a scan and understand the underlying data in a few seconds Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be great to get some more inline documentation in certain places Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We like the machine learning based data quality thresholds that catch anomalies and are derived from our historical data and produced within a few seconds
It's very convenient that I can set up all the validation via code, but that there still is a GUI where business stakeholders can see for themselves how the data qualty thresholds look like
Validio also has a really helpful team, that guides us through any issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a bit of tweaking to get the machine learning based data quality thresholds just right, but it's pretty quick. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like how Validio lets you dive deep into the data and spot problems early, before they blow up. It's super easy to get it set up, and you barely have to fuss with it afterward because it automatically adjusts to how your data changes. Plus, the team behind it is always ready to help, making it feel more like you're working together with them rather than just using their software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not much too be honest. Don't feel like their product is really missing any features I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Data governance: We can assign data owners, who can then set up very granular, but highly automated data quality monitoring on the sources they own.
- The data owners can collaborate easily as they see the data quality across the data lineage
- Validio can monitor data on a very granular level, looking at the actual data within our data tables and detecting issues on subsets of the data. This saves us a ton of time.
- The platform is also really easy to set up and maintain over time. It just loads in months of data in a few seconds and then continues to learn as more data comes in over time.
- Also really liked that we could deploy securely (VPC) with no data leaving our environments Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not really much to say here – really liked the platform! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Straight forward and quick to set up data validation
Easy to adjust the automatic data validations and to layer additional static and automatic validations on top
Really nice that it supports streaming data, so I can catch any issues in real time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the more advanced validators (e.g. comparing the distribution of the data on one source versus another) was a bit tricky to set up, but the docs were really good Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Validio was extremely easy to get set up with. We were able to go from the POV stage to immediate value in our business within a day. Additionally, the very deep level at which it tracks data trends and anomalies is more robust than other comparable tools we saw on the market. The fact that it effectively accounts for time series trends was key for our business. Finally, the team is a pleasure to work with. They are extremely responsive to questions and feedback, and they are happy to take our input and suggestions when considering what to put on the roadmap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
They are slightly newer than some more established players on the market, so they have slightly less feature coverage in some areas. But these areas are more collateral and aren't as important to our business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Before Validio, we were using Great Expectations to manage our data validation and try to catch anomalies and bad data early. However, it was very cumbersome.
It was very slow, took a lot of time, and you had to have a lot of assumptions about the data to be able to say how many rows you expect, columns you expect, categories, etc. Not only is generating these assumptions difficult when you are only starting with sample data, but getting to the know the data well enough to have these kind of assumptions also takes a lot of time.
This really made it difficult for our engineers to set up good validation rules. So a lot of the time, our pipelines would fail because we were setting up too stringent rules. Or on the other hand, we weren't setting up stringent enough rules and then we weren't catching the problems early enough.
With Validio, we have none of that anymore. It just works! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't think I have anything to say here! The Validio team is extremely responsive and timely, and very open to feedback and feature requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
