• Price!
• Published roadmap – well-defined document tracking ideas, capabilities, etc. that clearly shows they are listening to their customers.
• Online video tutorials walking users through how to begin using a newly implemented feature immediately. Very helpful!
• Customization options! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing that I can think of at this point in time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I rarely rave about any video hosting solution. But this is different. Not simply because of the value you get for your investment, but particularly because of the reactivity of the team.
This is a team that listens to its users and who will build the product its audience expects.
I'm impressed. You will see what I mean once you have joined the FB group. This team is amazing and this is a product which will grow.
I love to see a business that creates an MVP and develops it applying the essence of Lean Startup in the best way possible.
It's agility at its finest and the product develops by the day as a result. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As this is still a developping MVP (Minimal Viable Product) there are still a lot of features constantly changing and evolving.
I do see this as a positive point as once the product has stabilised it will be a strong alternative to other video hosting platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I was looking for an alternative to a high-fee video hosting solution but did not want to use YouTube with so many options for my viewers to navigate away from my content. I was also looking for a solution that would host audio files, which was surprisingly difficult to find. I was very excited to come across Vadoo, which offered both of these options at a very affordable price. I was also really pleased that it is a one-time purchase rather than becoming locked in for monthly fee. I'm just starting out with offering online video content, so this seemed like a perfect option for me. I was happy with how easy it was to get started on the platform, and although the customization options are not extensive, they feel more than adequate for my needs. I've tested embedding the videos on several different platforms and it worked as expected, and I like the option to have a landing page available for each video if you like. The user interface is certainly bare-bones, and sometimes a little tricky to navigate - but by clicking around, I always found what I needed. There are also no folders to organize your videos, and this is definitely a needed feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Just amazing! Really a good deal, very good price / value ratio.
Using AWS storage and CDN content distribution is the best. Videos load very fast and with very good quality.
A very good solution for starters. I’ve been looking for a solution like this since long time ago and I finally found it.
Some other users complain about the lack of features but I see this app as a working as intended and with a lot of potential.
Developers seem very committed and support looks very responsive. A lot of recent features has been released and I hope they keep this pace and keep improving this promising video solution.
Though, I think Vadoo guys should be more explicit about video formats and quality. For instance, I would like to know if uploaded videos are automatically encoded to create multiple size and quality levels that will allow videos to be fast and responsive on small and larger screens alike and in any devices with any connection. Also, I would like to know if HLS and DASH formats are supported for adaptive bitrate streaming.
It’s true that it’s still missing a lot of features and functionalities, but I’m confident developers will be adding them progressively.
I would like to see features like:
Multi CNAME per project/channel.
Multiple folders per project.
The option for the user to select the video quality in the player.
The customization options that currently exist per each video (play icon, player color, video watermark, etc) should be also available globally at the project/channel level.
More white label branding options for the dashboard and the player.
But!... what I really really would like to have it’s a complete Wordpress integration solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
missing complete wordpress integration plugin
what I really really would like to have it’s a complete Wordpress integration solution.
Developers at Vadoo should work in a Wordpress plugin that will allow users to do things like:
Connect a specific Wordpress site to a specific channel.
Upload videos from the Wordpress media and post editor interfaces.
Explore uploaded videos for the connected channel in the wordpress media and post editor pages.
I’ve seen solutions like this, CloudFlare recently launched their video streaming services which include a wordpress plugin with this kind of features.
I really hope that these features come to reality very soon.
For now, thanks Vadoo! You’ve created the solution I was waiting for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Vadoo replaces the need for YouTube and Vimeo, respectively, other high-priced services. IMHO they are bringing honesty, integrity, and competition back to the video hosting space. Although they are new and functionality is constantly being increased and enhanced, they are very responsive to community feedback and requests. It's refreshing to see a group of people who are receptive to community input and seek to implement the best ideas fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far, nothing. I thought initially that the encoding time took a little longer than I would like, but then I uploaded the same video to YouTube at the same time, and Vadoo finished first. It goes to show what preconceived ideas about an established service vs. a new service can do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really love that I can organize and protect all my video and audio context in one place that will allow me to customize and easily share my content with dynamic players without complex steps for uploading or distracting ads. I was really in need of a centralized platform that could allow me to capture screen recording efficiently (similar to loom) and host videos for my online education platform with context protection mechanisms. This platform is easy to use and a perfect fit for my current needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Over time I hope I can customize fonts and review vadoo logo from landing pages. I am also hoping I can create an embeddable podcast player and the possibility of creating easily shareable audio sound bites to promote podcast with analytics native to vadoo. I hope in the future we can embed audio in email (maybe this is already possible) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I got the lifetime deal so got an incredible deal that made the switch from other more expensive providers a no brainer. But the platform is very good, stable and has great features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The user interface is a bit complicated. For instance, there are several settings that are unclear what it does. If the plataform had a quick tip, it would make it easier to understand and properly configure. But the documentation is there so it is just a matter of searching and once configured, I'm sure this won't be an issue anymore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I would absolutely recommend Vadootv to any video marketers or entrepreneurs looking to take their business to the next level. The entire product is designed for a quality experience that you can rely on. It's simple, but very functional and it does what it claims! It is still a relatively new competitor, but could give established players like wistia or vimeo a run for their money! Looking forward to exploring the tool further. Definitely a good value product for its offering at the price point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI and UX can be improved but I am sure it would be done in the near future as I saw in the updates on the facebook groups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Heaps of features that leave the rest for dust:
- Blistering fast loading times, even at high resolution
- Waaay Cheaper than alternates.
- Super customizable, get the look you want even at the individual video level
- Can use videos on more than one domain
- Embed video in emails with GIFs thumbnails
- Call to actions in videos
- Video protection to prevent people from taking your IP
- Great roadmap for future enhancments
- I easily and quickly embedded videos into Thrive Apprentice for my online courses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Dislikes:
- Not able to embed monetisation ads into videos as overlays yet.
- The interface is still under development
- Better break down of videos in the account, If you had 300 videos, it would get difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The platform is easy to use and has some capabilities that respond to my needs.
Specifically, the videos can be completely white labelled, even through CNAME and they can also be encrypted, which helps to protect them for my specific use case which is online training videos.
I have observed a fast uploading and streaming speed, and the developers are very responsive (they implemented a correction just in hours after I let them know). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI is not very polished at the moment (thought I know they are releasing an improved version very soon) and the fact that it is a young company in a competitive market, makes me feel a little unsure about their ability to surpass those obstacles. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
