Paragon Overview

What is Paragon?

Paragon is an embedded integration platform that engineering teams at over 100 B2B SaaS companies rely on to build and scale their products' integration roadmaps. Teams can easily define integration jobs with our Typescript-based framework or our easy-to-use visual integration workflow builder, without worrying about the plumbing for each integration. Common use cases: - Bi-directional sync: Sync records between your app and your users' CRMs, project management tools, and more. - Ingestion: Ingest users' structured and unstructured contextual data for your AI product's RAG pipeline - Automate: Automate tasks within your app or your users' 3rd party apps - AI generated workflows: Dynamically make requests to 3rd party APIs based on user queries Customers like Copy.ai, Writesonic, Sinch, and AI21 have saved over 70% of their engineering resources per integration, enabling them to focus on their core product without compromising on interoperability.

What do you like best about Paragon?

Paragon's ease of setup, low-code integrations, and reliability have been impressive. It has removed the headaches of managing infrastructure on our end and empowers engineers of any experience level to make impactful changes.

Having worked in aggregation before, it's the unique, nitpicky per-integration tweaks that become difficult to manage. Paragon eliminates those concerns with their seamless workflow builder.

I've also been pleasantly surprised by their environment division, secret management, and core security utilities. It really makes a difference when handling customer data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paragon?

Our use case is somewhat unique as we're retrieving incredibly large amounts of data. The load can be significant, but Paragon has been excellent at collaborating with us and ensuring our tasks are as performant as possible. Our direct contact at Paragon, Jonny, has been a huge help! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Paragon solving and how is that benefiting you?

Paragon allows us to greatly expand our offering of integrations in both breadth and depth. We can provide connections to nearly any SaaS platform while still retrieving deep-set, custom fields from each Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Paragon?

Utilizing Paragon to build out our integrations has allowed us to focus the time saved on building our product rather than the integration process. I also appreciate having a centralized place to manage all our integration workflows.

Additionally, they have been extremely responsive and helpful during the onboarding process.

We’re very glad to have partnered with Paragon for our integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paragon?

Nothing that they have not addressed during our onboarding or have explained how they plan to address in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Paragon solving and how is that benefiting you?

By leveraging Paragon for integrations, I can spend Engineering time on other mission-critical items instead of losing it to building a custom integration for every provider. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There’s a lot of flexibility - the product opens up a huge range of possibilities, especially with things like the function step, which enables you to insert custom code into a workflow. The people have also been tremendously helpful, always ready to dive in and find answers to any question. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paragon?

Not much really - even when I did raise an issue with the UI, this was fixed in no time at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Paragon?

As a Senior Developer at Crystal who has worked extensively with Paragon, my favorite part of the tool has been the ability to blend low/no code integration management with custom coded calls to our and other apis. We maintain multiple workflows that integrate our app and api with Hubspot. Hubspot can be a little tricky and temperamental to deal with directly in terms of their api functionality and documentation, so outsourcing that effort to a well supported piece of software like Paragon has freed us up to expand and grow faster, spending less time on the tedious and mundane parts of developing our platform and more on the creative and rewarding ones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paragon?

There are certain like-to-have things which we've communicated to Paragon's customer success representatives. The ability to have one workflow trigger another directly would be nice. We've had issues backfilling data at times (after adding or editing fields). We've gotten assistance, sometimes even scripts used by Paragon devs to complete the same sort of tasks. Overall I'm very encouraged by the rate of development of the platform. Viewing and filtering the history of workflow runs could also be improved in my opinion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Paragon solving and how is that benefiting you?

We want to integrate our app with multiple platforms but managing that code and learning all of the various APIs is time consuming for one or even multiple developers. The engineers on our dev team work on a whole host of things both old and new so we use Paragon to simplify the management of our most popular integrations to preserve developer time. User level customisations for workflows is a bit hard to achieve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Paragon solving and how is that benefiting you?

we had a lot of inbound and outbound integrations that required us to manage each of those separately and it was slowly becoming hard to do. paragon helped us reduce the load on our engineering team and enable all these integrations in an easy way Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Brian Yam of Paragon

Thank you for the feedback Prem! Glad that you've had a great experience with our product and support team.

Regarding user-level customizations - that can be made possible with our Users Metadata + Workflow Permissions feature! It's a a tricky tradeoff, because Paragon is focused on becoming part of the software development stack vs. a solutions engineering tool. Happy to chat more about it!
