Troop Messenger Pros and Cons

Troop Messenger continues to surprise me with new Features almost every month! This chat app seems to be heading to the top with a concerted effort in the right direction of providing a seamless communication platform for the user community. Being a new and evolving product, TM needs to buckle up its support services. Well, not much support is needed (that has been my experience), this is one area which needs to be leveled with the technical and UI aspects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best part is it’s set of collaboration features. Right from instant messaging, voice-video call, audio messaging, screen sharing and Burnout made us keep sharing work across our teams. And we liked the feature Location Tracking the most where we didn’t find it in any other collaboration tools. Troop messenger has allowed my work group to communicate via IP based networks very easily. We are constantly going to different countries and often don't have service because of it. This allows us to talk and discuss work topics and meetings. Additionally, I like how we can make groups and find personal by a global search tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

due to it being very IP data based sometimes messages don't send very well when service is choppy. I would like to be able to personalize my own profile and recovery features are tip top compare to emails and other accounts. This chat application lets you to share files, create teams within the groups, make voice and video calls. Moreover, burnout and forkout are the two greatest features that I have found in Troop Messenger. In burnout, we can chat in a private window and forkout, we can send multiple messages at once. Troop Messenger brings all your team communication into one place, making it searchable and accessible anywhere. Quick, fast and clear to learn, solid value and not messed up with too many options, lets us communicate across time zones effectively as we have staff in multiple locations including Mumbai. Free form search is great and lets us find a previous thread topic easily. Administration is also a snap. I really like things that do exactly what they are supposed to. We had Hip-chat and they were bought by Slack and closed which we did NOT like, Slack is just far too much on options and integrations and a lot more expensive. Since we have a good number of diagnostic centers in the city, communication is crucial for us to keep us connected round the clock. We felt instant messaging would connect us quick and faster instead of calling our teams though mobile phones. We can quickly search for what we want. Be it test report images, text messages, unread messages, contacts, etc., with advanced search filter feature. We felt all the major features seemed to be hidden. So, several user actions are required, which is a little time-consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The advanced filter group feature allowed us to filter the content that we want. Be it images, videos, files, contacts, URLs, and location. Two more filters; flags and respond later were added to this group in its latest version release. Troop Messenger is the most trusted collaboration tool. As we have deployed it on our private servers with its on-premise delivery model. Our work conversations are more secured now. We also liked its simple learning curve. Any novice user can understand it faster. It has a simple and clean UI.
