I liked that I was able to see my pay stub summaries very clearly, and that I could see a schedule of when/how much I was paid. I also liked that it was integrated right into BambooHR (though not really that cleanly).
Mostly, I like that it made the payroll all digital so I never had to receive paper checks or timesheets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really found the interface for TRAX payroll to be a little ugly. I'm not usually very picky about this, but it looked like the software was designed in the 90's and that it hadn't been redesigned since. Also, navigating their dashboards wasn't exactly easy. I found the distinction between Timesheet and Paystub a little confusing within their platform.
I also think that it could have included some better dashboards showing my income and how it was affected by taxes, insurance, etc. and how it grew over time.
The whole platform seemed like it was a little too complex for how much it actually accomplished. Always felt like there was more information stored within their databases than they were actually using in their dashboards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Bamboo HR intergration was seemless and the support staff was avalible quickly and they resolved my problem the first time I called. Being intergrated with Bamboo has made for less errors on my part and is time saving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When you add a new employee, Trax doesn't automatically recognize this and it has cause me to miss paying two employees before I realized I had to manually add them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It processes payroll adequately. It is also owned by our HRIS, BambooHR, so that is helpful to avoid having to constantly ensure data is synced, as all data loads directly into payroll without any effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When running your first pay run in this system, they require a wire transfer before they can start performing ACH from your bank account. This is a completely unnecessary step and not required by ACH guidelines. They claim it is related to ensuring you have the money in your account before doing any ACH transactions, but this doesn't fully make sense, especially when you have provided them with information on prior pay that has occurred just weeks/months before.
The system itself is extremely simplistic and could use some tweaks to improve user-friendliness and overall experience.
Due to the integration with BambooHR, it is difficult to perform certain actions, since BambooHR drives the data that TRAX has. For example, a terminated employee who has a pay error has to be essentially rehired in order to make any changes. To my knowledge, this is not something you see in other payroll systems. Contrary to other payroll systems, when errors arise, their willingness to help or own the process is minimal (unless you pay I'm sure).
Lastly, and worst of all, even when combined with BambooHR, they are not compliant with certain state/local laws. The biggest example is having to show time off balances on paystubs, which this system will struggle with depending on how you setup your time off. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Doesn’t really link great with EaseCentral. Remote Link is kind of a pain. Multiple times there have been weird issues with deductions and apparently the system creating voided dates for them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
