We are an architecture firm. Before implementing Tonic, it was a challenge to get staff to save their emails as it was a time-consuming process. This is our 3rd year with Tonic and we can't praise it enough. It makes email filing incredibly simple, all emails are instantly available for all staff/teams, and the search capabilities/filters make it very easy to find a particular email. The 'Files' feature on their web version lets you send emails with large attachments so you no longer have the need for yet another app (Dropbox, etc). Beyond all great features, the customer service is superb! They are so fast to respond to any issues, and they truly do want to hear feedback on how things may can get approved. As said, we cant praise Tonic enough. I would highly recommend this to anyone! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There truly isnt anything that I do not like about Tonic. It does everything that we need it to do, and does it well! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to close CA without opening the RFI or submittal is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When adding a contact it is not always seemless. If someone has added a contact already, but switched the first and last name it is difficult to search for that contact. For instance if I search for John Smith by typing "John" and the name has been entered as "Smith, John", the name will not even show up if I don't start with the name that has been entered first. I like that the team is very open to our feedback, and making sure that our experience is a good one, and implementing changes when needed. I like that it's the program is working from a place of simplicity, and adding features as needed rather than a ton of unused pieces. I also really like the chat function, and how consistent that is. I wish that we knew when updates and changes were going to be happening, and how those things might affect our workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I enjoy how easy it is to log RFIs and Submittals - All steps to logging items are apparent and concise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I enjoyed the colors and interface of the previous version of TonicDM more than the new interface of TonicDM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface is straightforward - I don't have trouble finding what I need to find, and I like that it's easy to tell the status of things. I also like how they have improved the ease of adding files, since it can now be dropped anywhere on the page rather than in a small section. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There have been a few roadbumps as small changes are made to continue making it more user-friendly, but I feel like Tonic Support has done a great job of addressing issues that come up. I do hope the calendar feature for adding due dates is made a little more user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Tonic DM support is second to none, the care they take in listening to their users and improving the platform make them unique when compared to other solutions. The simplicity of the platform and ease of use allows for a low overhead in firmwide implementation and use. It's simply the best. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UX web interface has needed some improvement, but as I mentioned before, the team has listened to users, and a new UX is already available in beta. It looks and works great so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that I do not have to have a password to log in.
I enjoy being able to file emails from my inbox.
I like that you can edit from the log screen now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The new search bar is small. I find not having a tab at the top for submittals and RFIs inconvenient. I enjoyed the clarity of the last layout a bit more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how seamlessly TonicDM integrates into Microsoft Outlook. There is a tool bar that you can view/hide, and within this tool bar you can search for past emails that you need to retrieve, create a new folder, and force-file your emails. Also, you can see on your email inbox that there is a ribbon to confirm whether or not the email has been successfully filed to Tonic. Tonic also registers when an email is a part of a chain and files each part. The email storage is accessed by everyone, so you can access coworkers correspondence as well. Once you file an email to a sub folder (easy click & drag) it gets added to the Tonic Storage. Emails are stored in categories that be created using project names and numbers from the company's network. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it is difficult to mass-store emails and create all the project/subject folder one would need at the beginning of using the program - it gets a bit sluggish when you try to file tons of things at once. Once you get past this initial stage of building up your database, the software is seamless and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Takes the pain out of email filing and sending large files. It gets smarter as you go, so after starting out really good, it gets even better. Migration was simple and straight forward, and helped us realize how few people were using the previous email filing system. The RFI/Submittal system might still be the only one with direct connection to procore. This saves 2 steps for each issue, on projects with over 1000, it's the most time saving tool for the job. We had one when this process began. We wanted to use it on cell phones but there was a communication prompt which was popping up on the way. If you go check it now, no problem anymore, they've already fixed it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

TonicDM is a straight-forward solution to what our organization needed to manage our client projects. Email management is incredibly easy as it's automated, and our staff could understand it just as quickly. Having both email and files that relate to our client projects in TonicDM's cloud platform is also a burden off of our on-premise hardware and those that manage it. There isn't much I have to critique with the solution at this time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
