It is great to have the AI ability within the app to make the task of tracking time a lot faster instead of having to go through every single item or project from the previous week(s) to recall the work that was done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is not always clear what it being tracked from my web browser. It all gets grouped into one section as pinned that can be over many, many hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I started my own small company and needed to be able to track multiple work streams to provide hours to different clients. With no support staff (yet!) I looked for an easy to use program that was customizable but very thorough in its ability to track projects, hours, emails, web searching, PDFs, and many other tasks. Timely has been a great products and highly recommend. They are always asking for feedback on how to improve which I find very helpful and encouraging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is an ability to set some conditions but mainly to exclude tracking (like if you were on eBay, dont every record that) but I would really like it if I could set some specific conditions to always attribute X to Y. For example, any email to Jack Jones, atribute to Project Alpha, task Admin. That is not available at this time. I have reached out to Customer Service once or twice about questions regarding capacity and both times they have asked to have that sent as an idea to tech support. I love that Timely automatically records what I am doing and provides detailed descriptions. It saves me time when I invoice my clients each month, and helps me make more, because I account for all the time I spend, in a very detailed manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes I don't understand how it works. When I am using smartsheet it lumps multiple projects together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It sits in the background and logs what you spend your time on. The ability to log activities to projects and then for the projects to have a time/cost is invaluable to see where you are spending too much time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that timely checks what sites I have opened the past day so that I know what happened.

In my case, as a Linux user. I can't see what apps outside of chrome I have opened. That is something I have to track myself. Same case with phone calls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Timely makes it so easy to keep track of multiple clients who have all sorts of projects. And I love the monthly retainer feature that resets itself, so can keep track of how many hours I've put in for a client in total each month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Regarding that monthly retainer feature, it used to show me how many hours I'd put in that month in the projects section. Now I have to go into the reports section to see that information. Still, it's a great feature and I love having it.
I admit, there's a lot to Timely I don't use as a solopreneur. I should probably learn more about it, or I wish there was a solopreneur version that was a touch cheaper. But candidly, it's a great app and I'll keep using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

System automatically tracks how much time I spend on each document, email, and communication system through my computer. It is easy to assign time to clients periodically based on review of documents and systems used (and for how long) and produce an accurate invoice. Reports serve as detailed documentation to attach to invoices. Integration with QuickBooks makes this easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the "integrations" periodically come unattached... which may (uncertain) mean certain activities are not logged for later billing until the integration is reconnected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
