"Thoughtspot at Les Schwab"
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

TS is a great, intuative tool to consume data with the end goal of presenting information in an easy to understand format. This tool prioritizes have answers at your fingertips which allows for free form business conversations to pull in data backed proofs. The Data Lake TS can pull from is very impressive, easily able to span across many parts of the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

There is a decent learning curve to understand the capabilities of TS because it is such a unique tool. Not a real issue in the grand scheme of things, but worth noting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Eases access to data with a modest learning curve"
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

I like how intuitive simple queries can be to create. Sometimes, it is as straightforward as just typing in the question you want to answer with your data - especially since the AI-Answer functionality has been available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

Building your own query with words, for more complicated questions can sometimes over-simplify or pull in the wrong parameters. Results can be accurate for the query that was created, but some institutional knowledge of the datasets is still required to ensure that the correct fields are being used for the specific business question being asked. "Most useful for data extraction and performance analysis."
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

Thoughtspot has given me an edge in obtaining relevant data sets to get clear and up to date view of the market segments compared to othe sources we use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

It's almost perfect. But it does take some time to load in the browser. If there is a stand alone application that eases the accessibility of data, would be an added enhancement. Inability to get weekly comparison data because of storage limitation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Impressive capabilities, well thought out implementation..."
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

In my daily use of ThoughtSpot I've found it to be feature rich and capable. I'm still learning the more advanced features, and what I've learned so far has been easy to understand, with good documentation and tutorials. I look forward to digging into the more advanced uses for my day to day tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

While in general I find there are few downsides, there are some concepts and implementations that do take some time and effort to understand. Having said that, the documentation and examples/tutorials are helpful. The web-based interface can be klunky from time to time, but I believe that is more of the browser and connectivity side of the playing field than ThoughtSpot itself. "My team built a complex reporting solution using ThoughtSpot"
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

ThoughtSpot is great in that it makes it easy to create new reports and for users to slice and dice the data in different ways. The team behind it is very smart and capable and it is always improving as a product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

Sometimes it's hard for developers to give up the ability to write their own SQL. This is the tradeoff when using a BI tool. But the benefit of this is the flexibility it gives the end-user to change the parameters of a search in realtime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great data visualization/analytics tool"
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

We connect ThoughtSpot to our community to track engagement. Without ThoughtSpot, we wouldn't have access to this level of analytics, as it isn't provided to us by our platform. I love the variety of ways there are to slice and dice the data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

Sometimes it's not intuitive to use, and it isn't always easy to know exactly what you need to type in to get the results you're looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid comprehensive data analytics solution"
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

I like that I can analyze a single customers or any number of customers' data all from one location. I also like that I can export said data, format it myself and then send to colleagues or share with the customer themselves which is very helpful Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

I would say the minor formatting details that require exact information be entered to get the desired output of data is a little annoying at times. This could possible be how my company has it setup for our usage and not a requirement from the solution itself Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Pretty Good. Missing some niche features."
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

It makes it really easy for people who are non-technical to answer questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

There are a couple of things that are rough around the edges and features that are missing. For example, if you want to add a new column to a table, you have to completely edit the database connection, rather than editing just the table. This becomes a bigger issue if you don't have the right permissions. Also the whole concept of data table vs. worksheet is confusing and weird.

Missing features include things like converting measures to dimensions on the fly, replacing references in a table, table calculations, ect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fantastic BI platform that offers quick and reliable ways to derive insights from our data"
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

Thoughtspot is very easy to use and is also easy to teach to new users. The liveboard creation is fast and allows us to quickly deliver important insights to our users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

The organization leaves a lot to be desired, tags are ok but some kind of hierarchical structure like folders would be great Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I can't emphasize enough how much ThoughtSpot has transformed our daily operations at Lululemon."
What do you like best about ThoughtSpot?

The interface of ThoughtSpot is incredibly user-friendly, especially for people like me who struggle with challenging data. It enables us to create reports, dashboards, and handle data without requesting POwer BI assistance.

The search feature on ThoughtSpot is incredibly quick compared to other search engines. It's like having a data finding quick capability. We no longer waste a ton of time searching for data manually thanks to this.

ThoughtSpot meet our requirements as a new technology. Our analytics tool is created to our specifications, complete with personalized data and integration with the rest of our tech used in the company.

We enjoy exchanging data-related ideas, and ThoughtSpot makes it simple to do so. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ThoughtSpot?

Here are some things I've observed as a Retail Experience Function Consultant that aren't so great:

ThoughtSpot is designed to be user-friendly, however non-data professionals might need some training to utilize it effectively. I had a hard time in training and getting trained by ourselves.

ThoughtSpot is not inexpensive. With those license fees and additional expenses, small firms can feel the pinch when credits goes low. But keep in mind that it can be worthwhile for the data intelligence.

ThoughtSpot can communicate with the majority of systems, but there are occasions when it's like trying to squeeze a square peg into a round hole. It can get difficult and technical.

Large Data Issues: ThoughtSpot may struggle a little when you have a ton of data or challenging queries. To make it work, it needs to be fine-tuned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
